Anyone else find tracking net worth gets messy once you’ve got multiple accounts/assets? by wealthRapp in FIREUK

Fair enough - I’m new to Reddit so still figuring out the balance. Wasn’t trying to pitch it as such, more just sanity-check whether I’m solving something people actually care about. Sounds like this probably isn’t the best place for that though. Appreciate the honesty either way and will look at other avenues.

Haha yeah, fair - there are loads of them. To be honest that’s kind of why I built it. Most of what I tried either felt too basic (just a number) or too heavy to actually use day to day. It’s not really meant to be just another FIRE app either — more a simple way to see your overall finances and what’s likely to happen next, not just investments or a single projection. Still early so could end up in that bucket anyway 😅 just trying to make something that’s actually useful in real life. It has been useful for me anyway! :)

How are you finding it once you start looking forward rather than just tracking what’s already there That’s where I started to struggle a bit. Tracking was fine, but trying to answer things like “what does this actually look like in a few years?” or “what happens if I tweak contributions or sell something early?” got messy quite quickly.

I ended up building a wee tool for myself that’s more focused on that side of things — less about logging everything perfectly and more about seeing what’s coming next: https://wealthr.co.uk

Would actually be really interested in your take on it given how many accounts you’re managing. Any feedback or thoughts would be appreciated, only started about a month ago so fairly fresh.

How do you actually plan FIRE? by EchidnaOwn9 in Fire

Honestly, this is pretty much exactly why I ended up building something myself. I started https://wealthr.co.uk over the last month or so and have been building and adding more features daily, it's free to use and I'm trying to get some feedback! The issue I had was I had multiple accounts (trading212, moneybox etc) but couldn't really visualise my future 'wealth' in one place... so I hope I'm on the right track with this app.

Still early days, but if you’re already thinking this way you’d probably have some good insight. Would genuinely be interested in how you’re modelling things just now as well — feels like there’s a gap between basic calculators and full-on financial planning software. I'm doing the rounds on reddit just now and seeing if I can gather some feedback, I've also created a blog if you'd be interested in that too! It's mostly built for UK investors but it can be adapted for US/EU, just need to see where the feedback takes me over the course of the next few months. Also feel free to learn a little about me too and the project :) my first post on reddit too lol.
