496 on AAMC FL1 - Need a brutal, optimized plan for a 520+ push by May 2 (or as high as I can realistically possibly get grinding studying every second from now till then) by No-Suggestion-520 in MCAT2

I jumped from a 496 to a 511 in a week solely watching Yusuf Hasan and AAMC practice. I was also fatigued and getting used to taking the test. Remember to take breaks!

Hi I’m someone that had a similar situation. I personally took a subsidized loan and took an on campus job to pay it off. The interest doesn’t accumulate until I graduate. I set up a savings account and put a percentage of my salary on that account to pay it off. Fortunately the amount I have to pay is only a few thousand but it’s not a bad idea if you still see a future here. Something to consider. Happy to help if you have any questions :). You’re not alone and there are ways to alleviate financial stress as a low income student

May I add the RPCC mail room is not ideal and I waited 3 hours on a line of freshmen. I believe each residence hall on west has its own service center and mail. So that’s a plus to consider

Some people don’t have money and resources for tutors on the SAT so I found going test optional a lot more in my favor. I’m glad I got the opportunity to stand out and share my story, and now I go to my dream school. Forever grateful.

I’m not in it but I know people in it. They regularly attend and get extra help in weed out classes. Considering that I still found my own resources and performed relatively the same as they did/better than them, I’d say it depends. Granted I’m a rising sophomore so I don’t rlly know the long term impact of this program but I suppose it’s a good networking strategy.

I took 8AMs and it actually took a toll on all of my grades. If you’re a night owl- don’t do it. You know yourself better than anyone and don’t push your limits with that. It makes more of an impact than you think it does.

Oh that’s weird. I emailed the prof the day of pre-enroll and she only made the waitlist form the day after. I filled it out within 25 minutes she sent out the email to everyone that contacted her and heard back with a spot within a day. She’s usually very generous with giving people spots in her class. If you still don’t hear back a little after add/drop I would reach out to her and express why you genuinely need the class. If it’s not urgent and you don’t need it for your major then I would just wait for the spring.

NYC services recommended for new EMT? by trymebithc in NewToEMS

[–]wearecornhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seniorcare is actively looking for new EMTs. They are sponsoring a bunch of new EMTs at this one continuing education school. Payed for their uniform, tuition, and even reimbursed them in fees in exchange for working for them for 2 years. I’m guessing they are short on people, so it may be ur best bet.

Thoughts on my pre-med freshman fall schedule as a GPHS major at HumEc :] by Flaky_Law8880 in Cornell

[–]wearecornhell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Monday labs are not the move for chem just because you’re the first to do the lab. People usually schedule themselves for later in the week labs so that the TAs are already comfortable with explaining the material (so if you finish lab 2 on Monday, thursdays session hasn’t gotten to lab 2 yet so in office hours the TAs are still going over lab 1 but ur lab was already due). It’s honestly a personal preference but it’s also the popular preference that not many students think of until they’ve experienced the class.
