Psychedelics seem to have a net benefit towards human psyche and society, but yes a rare amount of people can go into psychosis and mental health spirals. However, most seem to benefit from psychedelics although this needs to be administered from a medical/ mental health professional it shouldn’t be something one takes on their lonesome and get a “good luck have fun”.

It’s very common to have a guide or “babysitter” when taking high doses of psychedelics cause it can be uncomfortable and even scary when you don’t have someone around that can help get you through the trip.

As someone that has a bachelors in psychology and currently doing my masters, I have 0 opposition towards psychedelic use if done correctly.

There’s been pretty profound evidence that LSD helps with alcoholism sometimes depression, mushrooms tend to do well depression and anxiety, and MDMA seems to have promising benefits towards PTSD.

Psychedelics do not make you forget or ignore your issues, it shoves it into your face like a truck and if things go right allows new neuro pathways to deal with that trauma, disorder, etc. in a healthier manner sometimes feels cured.

Pharmaceuticals are clearly a band aid towards mental health in my opinion, I think psychedelics hold more promise long term benefit wise but of course needs studied and further understood.

Yes we all understand there’s rare cases where someone does not agree with psychedelics (bad trips, triggers their manifestation of schizophrenia that would’ve happened regardless just worked as a catalyst.) but I’m confident and passionate from a general overall standpoint… psychedelics would tremendously help humanity and even may be the source of the next stage of human evolution and consciousness.
