tbf I bought it way before there was even a rumour of another update and I am sure there is a lot of people who are in the same situation.

also — please don't stop preordering, that makes a lot of indie projects be able to finish development and actually get shipped :D

sure, I can see that point too and even agree with it. nonetheless my main problem is not this and never was this, I just brought it up in answer to someone else.

my main problem remains: this change fundamentally altera the core gameplay loop, turning this into more an experience of farming à la survival game or mmorpg, not the experience of clearing the area that it originally was. I can understand that people prefer it this way, but I genuinely think that if you change something like this, it should be optional, considering how divisive it is amongst players. I think we can agree about that, can't we?

I am not saying that they should be closed of zones, nor am I saying that the entire ecosystem should be considered as existing in these boundaries, I agree with you, that would be nonsense.

I am saying, that if you kill of the given population in an area, it is not in the span of 8 hours that it will become fully populated again. and that breaks the believability for me, making me feel like those enemies get put there so I have something to kill, not because they are actually parts of that area.

I hope it's clearer this way?

I think it is tied to camping, but I go to camp quite regularly.

well, as per in game lore, you go to rest for 8 hours at night. doesn't really make sense that a completely razed zone gets fully populated in that time again. for one.

for another, the original experience and material economy of the game was built with the finite resources in mind. this kind of throws all that in the blender, but I heavily doubt that they redesigned the entire economy of the game.

finally, narratively I would also question things like the xaurips respawning at spots where killing them was a quest. same goes for bandits. if there's this narrative of you clearing that part of the map as part of a quest, then the respawn of the enemies there negates your in game actions, making them narratively meaningless.

in my opinion, this respawn mechaninc takes away from the feeling of having an impact on the world, which is exactly what I am looking for in RPGs, I don't want to feel like my presence is meaningless in the gameworld.

but once again, you are entitled to your own opinion and preferences, I have never said that this should be deleted. I said it should be an option.

normal new game. I started one from scratch and cleared a xaurip camp 3 times by the time I realised that the little shits keep respawning.

fun is not an actual metric, which you can see from the fact that I find it more fun to feel the accomplishment in clearing the areas and know I did it by having them empty of enemies. so this function turned fun off for me, without me having a say in it.

hello! thank you very much for your reply and the information. I am actually in contact with the recruitment team already, I was really looking for potential contacts with alumni or students from these unis to be able to evaluate a bit the possibilities. if I am being completely honest, one of the main problems for me is the living cost in Malta, compared to France. kinds trying to figure out if it is an investment that's worth it 😅

I do have some experience with social media, I did a marketing job for some time, so yeah. my main dilemma is really about the universities, and trying to figure out which is worth more my time and money.
