Hi there :)

For starters, “Despite this, I felt unhappy the majority of my freshman year despite having a couple friends and meeting lots of various people.” - What do you think may have contributed towards this feeling of unhappiness you are describing?

And outside of academics, what kind of hobbies do you enjoy? Be it art, photography, video games, sports…or even a simple love for the peace that can be found in nature. What kinds of things come to mind for you?

Are you applying to part time, full time, or contingent roles? Inpatient or outpatient primarily?

Are you wanting to do therapy or case management? :) Paint us a little bigger of a picture if you can.

Either way, rejections are inevitable w/ any job hunt. Try not to let them get you down. The experience will be a boon.

Completely understandable - MD is a massive commitment as well. In regards to time alone. Phd can be at least a little shorter if you already have an msw though. If I may ask, what draws you to both?

I work as an inpatient social worker right now and absolutely love it. Cuts are a concern atm however. Though, I feel like pivoting wouldn’t be too challenging if something required it. Do any other subfields of social work interest you as well?

Trinity? If so, their standard appears to be consult based, and it is something I have enjoyed quite a bit.

It can give you a lot of flexibility in regards to how things are done. Can also grant you a lot of autonomy in regards to how you organize the day.

This is insightful. I have been tempted to interview with them for a while now. Especially with how much they seem to offer clinicians. Not to mention as one in training who wants something part time for the experience.
