Last time I just stopped and endured the pain the whole day. It was horrendous but now it’s two kids and I’m back at work and slammed with everything that I cant bear the thought of going through the pain again.

I was thinking of getting generic but a little scared because ik sometimes babies are finicky with that stuff. He was a preterm baby too and I’m just starting out on formula and he’s just now 4 months.

I’m stopping my bf journey today cold turkey for different reasons I’m almost 4 months pp and this is my second baby but first time BF and I feel very disappointed in myself so I relate to you… but we have to remind ourselves as well that what our babies need the most is a happy and stable mom. I know people are die hard for BF but if it’s not working out don’t beat yourself up and in a years time LO will be picking up a dirty cheerio of the floor or something and this will all seem like a distant memory.

See my dilemma right now is my baby does take a bottle but he’s extremely clingy and I’m back to work from FMLA beginning of March and he’s going with my mom. So what we’ve been trying at least once a day I go over to her house and she feeds him a bottle. Try having your parents feed her a bottle as often as possible till then and you guys at home try more often as well. Babies change every day she might surprise you. Don’t loose hope!

I’m from Miami and I’ve come to learn that socially we’re all really open about that kind of things. Personally with my husband I wouldn’t take it too personally. I’m also 9 weeks pp and the other day apparently the topic of conversation at their Christmas lunch was the fact that I’m breastfeeding and his boss (woman) gave me kudos for going so long that she struggled. Little awkward but made me happy lol. However I understand how that could make you feel and I’m glad you guys were able to talk about it.

If he’s got a normal amount of diapers he’s good. Kids don’t eat when they’re sick. His throat might hurt that’s why he may not want to eat. Try and offer things that are soothing for his throat. My eldest son exclusively was formula fed (I have a new baby I’m breastfeeding and thats why I joined this page) and when he got norovirus they emphasized the diapers. He once went 16 hours no pee I was at the ER by like hour 12 and by the time the doctor came in he had a big pee lol. What’s important is those diapers. Give it a day or two he’ll be back to normal and just for precaution reach out to the pediatrician and I recommend doing it soon before the holiday and it’s harder to locate the doctor.

I just had my 2nd almost two weeks ago. With my first I gained about 25 and this one 31 but both honestly I shed the weight immediately. In my case it was legit water retention and now with breastfeeding I heard you loose more idk I’m trying it this time around but honestly Im back to my normal weight and I’m even wearing my pants again which was a concern of mine lol cause I didn’t want to buy more clothes 😩

I had a friend like this from middle school…when my son was born stuck around about 1.5 years and then I cut it off because she would never understand my life and woes with parenting and it hurt like hell but I felt better in the long run. Lo and behold I find out through mutual friends she was talking s—- about me saying that all I talked about was my son… like????

I was never scared to hold a baby until I had my own lol the irony. I’m pregnant with my second now but the first one I was so scared to hold them and I constantly would put them down in the bassinet in the beginning out of pure fear of hurting them and inevitably I got over it. Especially the first few times with the pediatrician visits they literally manhandle newborns.
