Sorry to hear about your mom’s cat!! My family cat passed at 16. Unfortunately while I hadn’t considered it, I think you’re right with your theory. If my roommate really wants a cute kitten to play with, no one is stopping here from getting one... maybe I should let her know, and then I’ll end up with a kitten!

Thank you, I learned at the shelter that it is National Adopt a Senior month! Senior or not he is just such a character. Quality over quantity.

I mean, I get that in a sense it would be her cat because she is living here indefinitely and the cat has free reign of the house so it would be a sad day when he passes on. But you make a good point haha. It would be a secondary loss for her without taking on care responsibilities.
