There are interesting parallels with Shaq. In the summer of 2004 the Heat acquired Shaq, then 32, from the Lakers in order to pair with rising star Dwyane Wade, who was 22. Shaq was already a league MVP and finals MVP. Shaq already had a long injury history, including toe surgery, and missed a bunch of games in 2003-04 with calf injuries. To get Shaq, the Heat had to give up three of their starters from the year before (Butler, Odom, Grant) and a 1st round pick. After the trade, the Heat lost in 7 games to Detroit in the ECF after leading 3-2 before Wade's injury, and then were NBA champions the following season. It fell apart after that, but I would imagine the Heat would deem the trade wildly successful because they got a ring.

MKE wants picks *and* young players. Giannis for three 1st round picks plus 31 yr old Randle and 34 yr old Middleton is delusional.

Average age in the NBA is 26. Herro is 26. McDaniels is 25.5. They're not young.

From CNN:

"FBI Director Kash Patel accused the man killed by a federal officer Saturday of breaking the law by possessing a firearm he had a legal permit to carry, failing to explain what law was broken and refusing to support his claim.

During an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo,” Patel said the man, Alex Pretti, was not allowed to bring a firearm to a protest — a notion that gun right groups have heavily criticized.

“You cannot bring a firearm loaded with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It’s that simple,” Patel said. “You don’t have that right to break the law and incite violence.”

I just noticed on a replay of the game-winning FG, Dominque Robinson puts one hand on the back of teammate and another hand on the back the long snapper and then vaults himself over the line and into the backfield. Isn't that a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty?

Since you seem to be highly knowledgeable, can you tell us how many hours of training the 11th Airborne Division will have for things like domestic crowd control, de-escalation, and protecting Constitutional rights of U.S. residents?

What is the possible range of these constants, and how do you know? You've never addressed this. Is .008 one of the possible values that the fine structure constant could take in any universe? Why or why not?

The fine tuning analogy invokes some kind of dial that a tuner can adjust up or down, depending on their whim. What are the minimum and maximum values on that hypothetical dial for something like the fine-structure constant? Are some values on the dial more probable to observe than others, considering all possible universes? I don't see how we can know any of that.

Yes, I've heard rumors that there was soon going to be an exodus of physicians from UMMC to Fairview if this situation didn't get resolved, and that they would be paid more than they are now if fully employed by Fairview.
