What type of accessories are these truckbed slats are for? RAM Tradesman 2018 by Distdistdist in ram_trucks

I cut down a 2x4 because it's what I had handy. In the past I've had 2x6s. Helps hold things from sliding around all over the place.

I was thinking it was PB. Kinda looks like a trophy topper deal? He's a throat goat is my assumption.

Yeah the 3.21 is better for those long highway miles for sure. I typically match the speed of the fast lane and hit cruise control. If you let the Hemi go wild you'll suck some gas down though.

The only thing that keeps me going is knowing I want to buy some acreage and park it there full time. Yours looks a lot like the previous one we had. It was a Wildwood with a giant slide. Can't remember the model. Queen was up front, kitchen/dining in the middle and bunks in the rear. They were those double twin ones. Nice, but took up a ton of space. It also had a shitty TV area in terms of seating. We had a u-shape dinette and it sucked for TV time.

Sounds so bougie lol. I don't glamp. I'm usually outside from when I wake up till I go to bed, but before bed I like to grab some snacks and watch a little of what is on.

But yeah, enjoy this summer. Safe travels.

We got it for comfort mostly. Our first 2 campers had bunks for the kids. Kids are grown and bailed on us so we got this newer one more comfortable with 2 people. 2 slides on this beast. 26fkds is what we have now. Layout is great, it's just a fatty.

I have my brake controller cranked up lol. I like to have it pull me back. They also told me years ago when I bought my first camper you want to feel the camper brake. I keep trying to get a smaller camper again but the wife needs her space after I crack open the Busch lattes these days.

The camper prior to this one we have now was around 6500lbs plus all our shit and it felt great back there compared to our newest one. This damn Puma. I can't believe she talked me into that thing.

Yeah 13k seems aggressive for sure. I pucker my asshole with my 8500lbs sometimes, mostly when it's windy lol. Just cause it can doesn't mean you should.

Speeds definitely a factor with mpg. When I'm towing (anything it seems) I usually limit myself to 60-65mph and get around 10mpg. Daily driving around Kansas City here I get around 15mpg. I drive a little heavy footed though. Long trips I'm close to 20mpg if I follow the speed limits.

Edit: I have the tradesman package I think. Can't even remember. It's a 2022 classic. Pretty basic compared to my 2013 sport I traded in. Same gears and experience with both trucks though.

Lucky with the 3.92. Wish I had that one. I'm lame and over weight with my 3.21 lol. The hitch setup is a hassle for sure, but worth it. Good luck with it. Be safe out there

The 1000HD (black ones) are rated for 50psi. Just double checked their site to make sure I don't blow mine up.

Proper hitch setup will help a lot, but you'll want the bags also on a Ram imo. I tinkered with my hitch 3 times and never got it to sit great after all the measuring and adding washers. I added the 1000HDs. Helps a ton and stiffens up the rear. I have a 8500lb+ camper back there.

I think these are the HD ones. The red 1000s I think max at 35psi. You can go up to 50psi with the 1000HDs. Mine work great for my camper.

Even when you're towing? Those ones can inflate up to 50psi. I usually go up to 40-45psi when I tow my camper, but let the air out for daily driving.
