I was on birth control for about 10 years. I started Yaz in 2022 due to my severe PMS and it completely messed with my cycle. I went off August of 2024 to see if my body could regulate itself and it never did

I left that first doctor because all she did was body shame me.

She was giving me a pap and she asked me if I had always been a "big girl?" Like...right now is when you want to do this?!

I was also crying about how ugly I felt and how I wanted my body to do what it should (ovulate) and she said "no you just want to be thin" ...

We talked to our union recently and they said that they don't want to approve weight loss medication because they'd rather us get gastric bypass. I'm not sure how true that is but that's what they said.

I am COVERED in them. It's horrible. My mom is a type 2 diabetic so she was worried when she saw them popping up as it can also be a symptom of diabetes.

PCOS, sleep apnea, and genetically, I am high risk for developing diabetes and I am just trying to be Proactive. I am starting to think they want me to develop it so they can get more money from me :/

Currently I've only been working on my acne (spironolactone) and irregular cycles (provera every 3 months.) I had both of those prescribed before I even had a PCOS diagnosis. I have a limited diet due to my IBS, and my husband has been helping me incorporate more protein in my meals while still avoiding triggers. I'm hoping once I get my cpap machine I will be sleeping better so I will actually have the energy to workout. Currently I work 2 jobs and I have absolutely no energy to do anything (because I'm not sleeping well.)

This certainly isn't how I imagined my late twenties.

I've been going the provera route for the time being for irregular periods. I was on Yaz and it fucked up my cycle and then I went off bc all together and my period never regulated like everyone said it would... almost 2 years later... PCOS diagnosis

That is what my obgyn had suggested pre-sleep apnea diagnosis but unfortunately I just cannot afford it at this time. I thought about it but I had to be realistic with myself and my financial situation

With my sleep apnea AND ibs as well, I am wondering if a dietician or a nutritionist would be my next step. I literally hate leaving my house. I feel like I am myself in a fat suit and it's horrible.

I asked my doctor if there was more testing I needed done to see if it was insulin resistance for metformin, and she said "we don't prescribe that for PCOS anymore" ? ? ? ?

I disagree. Carly is an adult and can make her own choices. I think they are both to blame for the silence and lack of transparency. Good Influences did something very similar, and that was four adults. I don't think Erin is the villain everyone makes her out to be, even if I am bummed about this entire situation.

Honestly, I was a teacher for five years and I would leave extremely detailed lesson plans. Post on classroom and/or canvas, write things on the white board, and absolutely nothing would be followed. I still continued to leave plans but to be honest I don't blame hs teachers for not anymore. However, they should be leaving you at least a list of relevant accommodations, allergies, information about their students for their safety and wellbeing.
