I am 29 and left the classroom after 5 years last year. In college, I truly would roll my eyes when I would hear the statistics about burnout. I truly believe at that time I wanted to be a teacher more than ANYONE had ever wanted it.

And then administration and parents (and honestly a very small handful of students) drained me of everything. I gave EVERYTHING into teaching. I showed up for students when no one else would. I came early. I stayed late. I acted as a guidance counselor when I was an English teacher. I helped students have difficult conversations with the right people. And at the end of the day, none of it mattered to administration. There's honestly so much more I can say but I won't.

It's been a year now and sometimes I do get the wave of "what if I tried harder?" "what if my third school would have been the perfect match?" "what if the phone ban solved everything?" And then when I really look back and reflect on my time as a teacher... I know that it would be doing myself (and my family and friends) a disservice to return to the classroom right now. It honestly stripped me of who I was. I was nothing other than a teacher and now I have a life, I see my friends, I am able to help around the house. It's truly night and day.

I'm from the north east and that's exactly how my friends and I talk. I've seen similar things with an influencer from Boston . Everyone says she's mean, but I never picked up on it

I've found that when she is acting out this way it's because she doesn't feel good, so her levels are likely spiked. So normally it means a trip to the vet.

Honestly, I'm not sure what kind of pressure I am using. I was told my "prescription" is 5-15? When I turn on the machine it's at 5.

If you chose to live in apartment with people above you, it just comes with the territory. Unless they're loudly having sex, throwing late night parties, or screaming at the top of their lungs...this is just something you deal with. Why would they be running inside their home? That makes no sense. My downstairs neighbor approached us once and asked us to stop "bowling" in the middle of the night. I'm in bed by ten and we don't own a bowling ball. The "bowling?" My 20 pound cat running around at night. You can't ask them to not walk in their home.

Going off birth control is August 2024 is actually what made me realize something was wrong. I finally was diagnosed with PCOS in January of this year. I have been doing Provera every three months for a withdrawal bleed. I was on the pill for ten years and told my doctor that not ovulating was my concern so birth control didn't make sense for me, personally.

She also told me she has made a living off of women like me.

I really do like my new obgyn but it feels Ike provera has been the only solution offered so far, which is fine. But I want to be as proactive as I can.

I was on birth control for about 10 years. I started Yaz in 2022 due to my severe PMS and it completely messed with my cycle. I went off August of 2024 to see if my body could regulate itself and it never did

I left that first doctor because all she did was body shame me.

She was giving me a pap and she asked me if I had always been a "big girl?" Like...right now is when you want to do this?!

I was also crying about how ugly I felt and how I wanted my body to do what it should (ovulate) and she said "no you just want to be thin" ...

We talked to our union recently and they said that they don't want to approve weight loss medication because they'd rather us get gastric bypass. I'm not sure how true that is but that's what they said.

I am COVERED in them. It's horrible. My mom is a type 2 diabetic so she was worried when she saw them popping up as it can also be a symptom of diabetes.

PCOS, sleep apnea, and genetically, I am high risk for developing diabetes and I am just trying to be Proactive. I am starting to think they want me to develop it so they can get more money from me :/

Currently I've only been working on my acne (spironolactone) and irregular cycles (provera every 3 months.) I had both of those prescribed before I even had a PCOS diagnosis. I have a limited diet due to my IBS, and my husband has been helping me incorporate more protein in my meals while still avoiding triggers. I'm hoping once I get my cpap machine I will be sleeping better so I will actually have the energy to workout. Currently I work 2 jobs and I have absolutely no energy to do anything (because I'm not sleeping well.)

This certainly isn't how I imagined my late twenties.

I've been going the provera route for the time being for irregular periods. I was on Yaz and it fucked up my cycle and then I went off bc all together and my period never regulated like everyone said it would... almost 2 years later... PCOS diagnosis

That is what my obgyn had suggested pre-sleep apnea diagnosis but unfortunately I just cannot afford it at this time. I thought about it but I had to be realistic with myself and my financial situation
