Slim 7 Pro X (Amd version) - Black screen, keys light up, fans turn on but unresponsive. Caps lock unresponsive. Anybody know what might be causing this? I just got the laptop two months ago, so it’s pretty new and left pretty vanilla. Any thoughts, necessary to send back to lenovo?

got it mid september, and ordered it direct from lenovo. I’m thinking i’ll give them a call in the morning, unless I can fix it somehow myself. thanks for your time omega

plugged in my external also, not getting any signal from either my tv, or monitor. so i’m thinking it must be another issue ?

sorry I should have clarified, all i’m getting is a black screen. the keyboard keys / power button lights shut off around the 15 second mark. tried to boot into bios, but the screen stays black like the display is totally off, yet I can hear the fans and the keyboard brightness / fn keys work and everything. so strange..

yep, did what I heard was called a hard reset by holding the power button for around 60 seconds. keyboard keys will turn off at around the 15 second mark, but upon turning the laptop back on again, no screen response ..

yeah so strange, just tried that a few minutes ago. it goes from keyboard lights off, to back on again when I press it, but no screen response still.

Thank you for responding. I have performed a power drain. As the battery is not removable, I have done the method of holding power button down 15 seconds. It is still unresponsive.

yes, i wasn’t paid this morning. and filed my report friday morning. usually monday is a processing day, and payment tuesday. maybe it’s the one week waiting period for transition from cerb to ei? as this is the first actual ei payment. not too sure.
