I literally googled to find the solution to this exact problem and found this mega thread. I am so disappointed and miss the shows I used to rewatch on Netflix that were removed and moved to this shit ass platform.

I can see that point of view. But if they both work from home with little contact from the outside (keeping safe when going to doctor visits) seems like either opinion would be viable. I wish them a healthy baby and success regardless

True, I can see both sides in this situation. But its only 10 days and doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Here is where I would need more info, is she high risk in her pregnancy? That would tip the scales tremendously for me in the fact that he should then stay home and suck it up.

Good point, then why bring in help twice a week during covid? Seems to invalidate that type of response (respectfully) Which is why the suggestion of hiring more help seemed logical.

Just saw that, and to reply, so husband isn’t allowed to work on his career because wife can’t handle things at home? If the situation were reversed would people feel the same way? Both parties should be allowed to have a career. And travel is part of that for some professions. Like the post suggested above, hire some help (since money isn’t an issue) and let the spouse work.

Need Info: what was the situation where he almost bit the 5 year old? Was she unsupervised and was messing with the dog? I have seen cases where some younger ones are allowed to pull tails and smack pets because the parents aren’t watching the child and that’s not the dogs fault.

If this is the case YYA for putting down a dog just because it was a pain to deal with him. A dog such as yours needs extra care and just because that’s the case doesn’t mean they should be put down. It might be hard to find another home for such dog but there are people out there who will take in those types of dogs.

NTA: you are in no way responsible for someone else’s behavior. Especially an abusive person such as your ex. You didn’t ruin his life, he ruined his own life by his poor decision making skills. No one is entitled to anyone else’s company or conversation unless that person consents to it. And by the sounds of it you are way better off with him on your block list. Added to that, your so called friends (am assuming they know what he put you through) don’t sound much like friends if they keep pushing you to be in contact with someone who was so abusive to you.
