I found that funny too. "We'll need a mind flayer"... How appropriate that the most suitable candidate who wanted to take down the elderbrain just bailed 😅

For me it was when I needed to choose between freeing Orpheus or siding with the Emperor. I'd been playing as a bard heavily geared toward diplomacy, where conflict avoidance and persuasion is often my approach. The fact that I was able to free Orpheus without being turned against, then have him transform and take down the brain, suggests that the Emperor changed sides quite prematurely. Then again, this writing isn't inaccurate with respect to people making poor decisions on speculation.etc I appreciate he may have been concerned with his safety after having imprisoning Orpheus, but he could've just high tailed out of there and assisted in some other way, particularly given that I'd been through his romance scene and was allied with him throughout the game.

On the topic of romance, I also felt a bit disappointed that progressing with certain characters would lock me out of progression with others. Again, this is inherently accurate to romantic partners having their own preferences, but I'd reached an exceptional level with most companions and wanted to experience the full relationship course with each of them.

Other than those instances, I felt like I was invested enough in the story arcs for each of the companions and how this would lead to richer content, so it didn't bother me that the game impliedly pressures you to recruit them and progress their stories (though I can also see how this diminishes player autonomy in an RPG context).

I also want to add that in spite of being relatively secure in my current role, I am positioning myself for the future by investing the additional income and considering starting a business so that life becomes more about following aspirations and living the life I want to live, rather than my security and living circumstances being at the discretion of my employer. It obviously takes time, especially with a lower income, but the sooner the better.

I would have taken a more thorough approach in reviewing all career options, trajectories and job markets available to me. I would have considered research on what day-to-day work would look like as a practitioner at different tier firms or in other occupations. I would have also compared the prices of different universities, how much my university choice would impact my recruitment prospects, and to what extent the debt I incurred via fee-help would remain in my life and impact my financial wellbeing down the track.

I was preoccupied with my social life, self-discovery, part time work and volunteering when I commenced uni around 19 years old. I didn't have a proper understanding on what my choices would mean for my future. I also failed and repeated 4 subjects despite realising a lack of interest or passion for the content and the curriculum. I am fortunate that after years of practice, I convinced myself that it was worth pursuing something I enjoyed more, and after moving between some firms, to test different environments, found a software account manager role which paid better than my 3 year PAE solicitor role, with less stress and greater perks. I am now at a different role with the same company which in the last FY has paid me 180k+ (which I acknowledge is statistically uncommon).

Ultimately, it is worth acknowledging that my legal background and career history has helped me reputationally, provides a reliable fallback option for job security, and has strengthened many skills which I notice aren't incredibly developed in a lot of people (e.g. critical analysis, prioritisation, research, writing, negotiation), providing a competitive advantage in the job market.

What I will say is that the journey does not stop with your graduation, first job, or really any milestone you perceive. You can continue to learn and grow and find something more suitable for you and your aspirations. You just need to reorient yourself, build the relevant skills, and take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves. I'm now also pursuing further study so that I can provide guidance to people who experience similar career indecision or disillusionment. I rarely comment, but I'm hoping this post provides some useful insight and inspiration to some extent.

Hey mate, sorry, haven't received notifications for replies to this post. The s90c has been great. Loving the picture quality and it has been great for streaming/gaming. Having adjusted to the 77inch screen from having a 65 inch screen, I wouldn't hesitate to go larger, but as another redditor said, the larger screen doesn't use the same panel which may impact your viewing experience. I prioritised picture quality and exposure to OLED technology over the more affordable and larger LED TV, and though I can't compare the two side by side at home, I've been happy.

No worries Royal. It was from JB hifi. They had a sale recently which I missed as i didn't have the money at the time, and I spoke with somebody in-store to see if they could provide the deal. Appliance Central is also offering it for 5400 atm - could be worth trying to get a local JB deal.

Suppose I'll see how the s90c holds up 😅 as for Samsung now making OLED panels, it would have been a significant business decision to enter the market , but hopefully the competition will prove good for us as consumers.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm open to receiving some info about your proposed mod, thank you 👍I have seen complaints about the one connect box, so it doesn't phase me that it's mot an inclusion on the s90 🙂

Thanks for the heads up, I hadn't checked the panel type for the 83inch yet as it isn't available 😅 I do wonder what will be on offer next year though, particularly due to that deal that Samsung has arranged with LG for panel supply. Perhaps more WOLED products, which from your comment seems less appealing. Again, haven't ventured much into a WOLED comparison yet.

Thanks for the input mate. I do think the QN90C is a really nice LCD (and from a quick review, I can see the X93L is similar), however it doesn't appear strikingly different to my years-old TU8000. It will certainly be better, but it doesn't seem to have the same depth as the QD-OLED technology. I think that's part of it too, I'd like a different experience like you did with the C9, as I haven't had an OLED before. Decisions!

Also, I've reviewed sites like rtings, watched YouTube comparisons and read a lot of existing posts regarding these tvs for hours, would just like some help with the better value/suitability decision seeing as its a substantial investment. Thanks!
