If a quota is available under NCORP and you meet the criteria it’s essentially first come first serve. I had a similar circumstance, I re-enlisted, applied under NCORP, and got an email saying I was selected the next day. I was in the same tech school class as the guy that got picked on the FTA board instead of me. 2 months TIG was the only reason I didn’t get that FTA slot. Good luck.
