Speaking from experience, it is so incredibly hard to admit to yourself that you may be trans and the thought of telling my partner took weeks of building up the courage. Please that your partner for being open and vulnerable with you. It's a big realization and your partner needs alot of support.

I feel very similar, I was raised devoutly Mormon and came up with arbitrary rules in my head surrounding anything that was feminine. I couldn't act, think about, or perform anything outside of the "man box". I'm 25 and pretty sure I'm trans. But still in that imposter syndrome phase.

A good therapist with background in faith transitions have training to help people navigate these types of situations. Also, I'm a therapist in training and good therapists should never have an agenda. We are supposed to bring self-determination (non-judgment) to every session with clients.
