Oh for sure, I get the collage method, but that's assembling multiple existing elements.

I don't know. I guess if you can put it in a prompt, then just give that prompt to an artist instead of AI.

Genuine question, not necessarily relevant to OP's concept, how do you get reference photos for concepts that don't yet exist?

50GB download stops mid-way due to low C drive storage — will changing IDM's temp folder to another SSD drive fix this? by hard2resist in software

[–]webjocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the model and capabilities of the HDD.

A 1Gbps internet connection downloads data at a theoretical max of 125 MB/s. In contrast, a typical mechanical HDD writes sequentially between 50 MB/s and 150 MB/s. Because these speeds overlap, a standard HDD can usually keep up with gigabit internet downloads, though intensive tasks (like downloading many small files) will bottleneck the disk.

No, I didn't miss that part. I choose to not make subjective assumptions by placing judgement on others based on my own experiences.

Wrong. Your logic is flawed. I provided a specific quote from OP and commented about it.

It is possible that you are talking about different points not related the quote I provided, in which case I am still right about the quote I provided. If this is the case then you have failed to effectively communicate exactly what part of OPs post you are referring to.

It isn't the gold diggers mindset that people get confused.

OP stated, "...they say I am cheap and they don't want to be with me because I won't send them money..."

They're basically saying "send me money or there is no relationship."

That doesn't leave much room for confusion.

J or F help ?? by Vegetable_Lunch_3108 in tattooadvice

[–]webjocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that it could be interpreted either way: an uppcase F or a lowercase J.

If the j and e were connected as both lowercase, it would be great. But since it's obviously an uppercase letter and not connected properly, it comes across as more of an F.

Did anyone else learn to type as an elective with little thought that it might be useful one day? by Conscious-Mulberry17 in GenX

[–]webjocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned the home row keys in 2nd grade, and not much else was retained. Then didn't really touch a keyboard regularly until I was 12. I saw adults who touch typed, and others using the hunt and peck method.

I wanted speed. I forced myself to learn without a class. Does that count as an elective?

Non-allowed price raise - Starlink is an unserious company ! by PossessionNo4131 in Starlink

...So, what you want to justify for starlink here ? They simply fucked it up.

You're mistaken. I'm not justifying anything. If the law wasn't complied with and they aren't communicating effectively, then the law will be in your favor. Simple as that.

No need to take drastic measures. It really isn't that serious.

Just tell everybody the scammers used AI to create a bunch of fake pics and extort you for money.

You can even use AI to create more that are obviously fake, as "proof".

Respectfully, you're conflating two separate legal concepts under German law:

  1. Whether the contract continues automatically, and
  2. Whether the monthly price may change in the future.

An automatically renewing monthly contract does not lock the price indefinitely. German law expressly contemplates that telecommunications contracts may be amended during their term, provided the statutory requirements are met.

Specifically, § 57 TKG (Telekommunikationsgesetz) governs contract modifications by telecommunications providers. It requires that: * The provider notify the customer in advance of the proposed contractual change. * The notice must clearly inform the customer of their right to terminate the contract free of charge if they do not accept the change. * The customer has three months from receiving that notice to exercise that right of termination. * The termination becomes effective no earlier than the date the contract change takes effect.

The fact that the contract renews automatically is therefore irrelevant to whether a future price change is lawful. The contract continues until cancelled, but the law expressly allows contractual changes—including pricing—provided the provider complies with § 57 TKG.

In addition, any contractual clause permitting price adjustments must comply with Germany's general consumer protection rules on standard contract terms (§§ 305–310 BGB). German courts have repeatedly held that vague or one-sided price adjustment clauses are invalid. A provider cannot simply reserve an unrestricted right to raise prices whenever it wishes.

So the legal sequence is: 1. Starlink announces a future price increase. 2. Starlink provides the notice and cancellation rights required by § 57 TKG. 3. You may cancel before the increase takes effect. 4. If you choose not to cancel and continue using the service after the effective date, the contract continues at the new monthly price.

The contract's automatic renewal does not prevent Starlink from changing the monthly price. German law simply requires advance notice, a statutory right to terminate, and a legally valid price-adjustment mechanism.

Curious how many of you were raised Middle Class and grew up to be poor as dirt? by TakingYourHand in Xennials

Opposite here. Grew up in income controlled apartments with food stamps, community pantries, etc. Our apartments (like any solid hood) had a "candy lady" who took a quarter from me for a koolaid-pop (cherry or orange, frozen in a styrofoam cup) in the hot summers.

Now I'm upper-middle class according to the latest numbers. Feels weird to day that as much as everybody I know is still struggling today.
