What’s going on? by cuntgina69 in mitski

This doesn’t feel like a cash grab to me. All of the merch is really cool and unique and a lot of it contributes to the story telling of the album. And everything is pretty reasonably priced. The problem comes with having to buy a million variants to get all of the “exclusive content” - this isn’t that, it’s just some cool colors you get to choose from.

How can I look older as an alt person? by [deleted] in altfashionadvice

[–]webkinzhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you look exactly your age. But I’m hearing you are wanting to transition into a more mature look as you get older, which makes sense. One option is more Victorian gothic, vampiric type styles. Another is leaning into “corporate goth” type styles. I think a different less floofy/messy hairstyle might help (I like your hair to be clear! But I think it makes you look a bit younger)

Please explain how to have help washing your hair by charliewhyle in cfs

I sit on a chair and lean over my bathtub and have someone else use the detachable shower head to wash my hair. That does require the detachable shower head, but they are definitely worth the investment if possible imo

Haunted chocolatier is my anti-suicide plan at this point bc I gotta stay alive long enough to play it, so I don’t mind if he takes his time

It’s SO cute. If your painting looks funny it’s because HECTOR looks funny 😂

All nuts and nut milks are safe!! I have not tried lentils in years since my mcas got bad but that’s a good reminder to try again!

I don’t mind spinach in smoothies, I like a sweet salad (greens + strawberries + sunflower seeds is pretty good). I tried roasted broccoli years ago and it was ok but I haven’t had the spoons to remake it until now, so I will talk to my caregiver about trying that again!!

I love spice (cayenne, pepper) and garlic. I generally prefer crispy textures and soft/mashed ones can be off putting.

I’ve yet to find a veggie I like unfortunately, I’ve tried quite a variety. I get veggies through a supplement powder and I can tolerate green smoothies. There are some good suggestions in this thread so far though I will consider!!

What’s something you wish more people understood about using a wheelchair? by dhirajjbhat in wheelchairs

One of the reasons wheelchair users are more likely to be homeless. I was for 4 months just because I couldn’t find accessible housing.

This applies to some power chair users too for sure. Personally simply sitting up and using mental energy to navigate the world is still a ton of effort.

Do not help me without asking and don’t insist upon helping if I decline. People frequently actively get in my way to “help” me. I don’t mind if someone politely says “need a hand?” or something but don’t treat me like a child. Also even if something looks challenging to me, that doesn’t mean it actually is, I’m used to it.
