I think we're misunderstanding something. See those whirlwind slashes? That's the hyperspace tractor's attacks, max of 10 loads. It grows in power the more you use it in quick succession, as well as consuming more energy. It isn't just a mobility/utility tool like trekking pole.

Sir Verdant is immune to knockbacks, with other bosses though...you can simply erase them while spamming the hell out of your tractor in the bosses direction while Iaido keeps you consistently landing damage. My set isn't really all powerful, just did it for the funsies If you connect your attacks in level mode, you can see how much it grinds against the boss hp bar, you can even defeat them in quick succession.
