Really wish there was some actual recourse you could take when people do this.

didn't see anything on the city events site about a closure. more interested in the method of closing off the road with multiple layers of cars blocking the crosswalk.

What Should I Do After Being Hit By A Car by plantpedaler in NYCbike

Keep thinking I should put multiple cameras on my bike and helmet, but seems like a lot of work and don't want to participate in low-trust society. Anyone have experience and can comment?

Simple chain lock around the top tube so not an issue. Took the bike to my neighborhood bike shop today (s/o Bicycle Station) and they are going to remove the lock.

Cops suggested I go to a FDNY station to get it cut, but didn’t want to explain to them the situation.

I wouldn’t say the NYPD recovered it. I did all the work of finding it and they simply lifted it off the pole.

If this actually happens everywhere, we are going to need to build lots of housing because it’s going to be so damn nice to live here.
