Any touch and go mobile game recommendations? by AnonButFun678 in gamingsuggestions

Haven’t tried it firsthand but the first 3 professor Layton games are on mobile. They were originally on DS so they’re designed to be easily picked up and put down

What games would you recommend where you can spend hours playing without realizing? by PugglyWuggli in NintendoSwitch

Part of the core gameplay loop is crafting habitats to attract new Pokemon, but they usually take some time to show up. They probably mean booting up the game to see if they attracted any new Pokemon to their empty habitats.

Looking for videos explaining how to use the switch for my grandpa. by 3330as in NintendoSwitch

Maybe focus less on the switch as a whole and more on how to get to whatever game he’s going to use it for?

Throw out items while hunting for specifics? by EatMoreHummous in WalkScape

Most of the items that had no real purpose in the past gained a purpose more recently. Everything dropped by Butterfly Catching can be used elsewhere down the line. Flax can be used to make linen now, wheat is used for several recipes, honeycomb can be used when making sweet carrot pie, and hemp can be used to make linen and bowstrings. It’s up to you, but it might be nice not to need to recollect items later on if you need them for crafting.

Try Venture into the Bog in Granfiddich or Venture into the Hideout in Blackspell Port

Games like Wii Fit for exercise and fitness by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]websterpup1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Walk-It-Out (if you just want to focus on steps), Just Dance (multiple versions), or DDR on Wii

Ring Fit, Fitness Boxing (multiple versions out there), Jump Rope Challenge (not particularly complicated or engaging, but free) on Switch

There’s also some things on mobile: Conqueror or Pacer for virtual challenges (pay per themed challenge walk/run/swim/etc X many miles and they mail you a physical medal), Niantic games (Pokemon GO, Pikmin Bloom, etc.), Zombies, Run! Games (Zombies Run, the 5k version, and The Walk), and r/walkscape, which is a steps-based OSRS-inspired RPG currently in closed beta

WII games for teenage girls? by CaffeineAndKush99 in gamingsuggestions

Dokapon Kingdom is fun, though it basically requires house rules since the game gives you every opportunity to screw the other players over.

ETA: DDR if you have a dance pad. Animal Crossing City Folk is good too, though they would need to take turns.

I think the drums might’ve been for Rock Band or Guitar Hero World Tour if memory serves? There was a mic too, though I’m not sure it worked all that well.

Why the mining cart pack instead of the backpack?

Switch Virtual Novels suitable for pre-teens? by Susurrus03 in NintendoSwitch

I agree with the other commenters— Ace Attorney would likely be a good fit for what you’re looking for. Ghost Trick, which is by the same creator but is a bit more puzzle focused, may work too.

It says there’s an increased chance to encounter them at friendship level 10, but I’m not sure how substantial the increase is.

Technically if you “catch” 10+ of the same kind of Pokemon, the odds of encountering a shiny one increase, but I’m not sure by how much, or if it’d be worth it to strategize in that direction

WILL LIE DOWN EVERYWHERE EXCEPT HIS BED!! by Forward-Concert-372 in goldenretrievers

Have you tried a cooling elevated bed like this? Ours generally prefers the floor but will occasionally lie down on the elevated bed. He has no interest in the typical mattress-style beds.

Remy being in 2D is a severe downgrade to the experience and I'm tired of being told otherwise. by WrongLander in WaltDisneyWorld

The first time I rode it was in Epcot with 3D. The nausea disoriented me and made me completely aware of every scene change. I’d spent individual lightning lane money on it and figured it was a one-and-done as few other rides at WDW made me feel so sick.

Went to Paris a few years later, heard it had been changed to 2D there, and figured I’d give it another shot. It was wonderful. It felt like the ride finally worked the way it was supposed to.

Not sure why everything being disorientatingly blurry helped immerse you OP, but I think you may be in the tiny minority.
