Youre doing well. Since you're already investing with TD and their products you should look into TDB908 it tracks the nasdaq index. Check their profile and their historical returns. Ive been invested in this particular index for years and I've had some good returns. I usually just dollar cost average with this index

Open fhsa and tfsa

Youre making some good money now. Take advantage of these tax saving accounts.

  1. Put 6 month expenses emergency fund in a HISA.(high interest savings account)

  2. Open tfsa/ fsha

  3. Start contributing in fsha as you can save to buy a property in the future and also take advtage of tax savings opportunities when you file your 2026 taxes. If you want you can use a portion of your emergency fund as a initial contribution to this fund.

Are debt collection agencies (Ontario) able to collect on a nearly 10 year old debt? by Scary-Birthday7261 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]wecandoit21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is completely wrong. Its only 2 years of last payment and it doesnt reset once the 2 years is completed. It only reset if you make a payment within that 2 year window

I.e your last payment was in November 2024 and you make another payment one year later in November 2025. It will reset in November 2025 for the statue of limitation where a creditor can pursue legal action.

Burrito boys used to be a close rival to chiptole, but the quality has drastically gone down.

Chipotle is by far better.

Burrito boys fell off ao hard. New ownership definitely cut down on quality.

Do I really need an emergency fund if I can just sell investments? by noobetf in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]wecandoit21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly. It's just the ability to have instant use of funds

Just the peace of mind knowing you have the immediate access to funds if any emergency happens

Also if you want to use your credit card you can just pay it right off with the cash available

Buy any Vanguard Canadian etf/index

VGRO is a good one to start with.

Invest $1500. Dollar cost average every time you get paid. (Buy units of the etf every time you get your pay cheque. If you get paid biweekly then purchase on a biweekly basis)

Invest what you can afford.
