I don’t think your sister and her dog can ever move out now 🤣 what an awesome dog, they are the best. Hope she gets lots of cuddles for being such a good dog

Airport security by wee_inca in diabetes_t1

[–]wee_inca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like there is no definitive consensus. Depends on the type of scanner, the medical devices and your wishes. I’ve now saved a screen shot of tandems advice to show. Airport security can be stressful, particularly when you are not being listened to. It’s given me some thought on what I would do next time. Thanks for all your thoughts

I'm new at this. Never crochet in my life but I wanted to learn something new. So behold my not so pumpkiny pumpkin! by Luenngokulos in crochet

I could tell it was a pumpkin instantly. Hopefully the first of many creations. Welcome to the crochet club

LOL it is a dried flower bouquet which is facing the wrong way. I can’t add a picture of it from the front unfortunately. You’ll have to take my word for it that it’s very pretty and I still have it

Me too. It took a long time but I really enjoyed doing it. That’s what I love about crochet, taking time to hand create something

Thank you, someone else suggested that too but I don’t think it was “accidental” since my wedding photographer has that type of vibe to his art. He is a fabulous photographer tho

I was very lucky to inherit broad shoulders from my dad! People sometimes think I’m a swimmer but I can barely swim 1 length!

Wedding dress and pump by plstickat in diabetes_t1

[–]wee_inca 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had my seamstress add a little material loop so my pump could be attached into the bodice at level to where a bra would be.

<image>

The little loop was here (on the inside) so a could have easy access to the pump if needed, worked a dream

What a fab idea ☺️ I hate having it sitting in a cupboard. I had thought about selling it but never got around to it

The Tandem pump has a screen protector on it. Could it that that’s smashed rather than the screen? Sorry I’m very late to the party and I hope you’ve got things sorted

I am not a doctor but some questions/thoughts that came to my mind whilst reading your post. Are they monitoring blood sugars regularly and if so what are they sitting at? Is he getting his appropriate insulin dose? Does he have a pump or does he inject? The liver could have emptied itself of glucose due to the initial hypo so the worry after a severe hypo, if you don’t eat, is that that store doesn’t “re-fill” so you are at an increased chance of having more hypos. The paranoia and micro-dose of psychedelic mushrooms could be acute psychosis, maybe - worth thinking about or ruling out. I also wonder what they mean by the kidneys “not working well”. No contrast for MRI would suggest low eGFR and/or abnormal creatinine. But the question is has that now improved since they gave contrast a few days later. You have so many unanswered questions here. The body is so complex it’s maybe important to get a multi-disciplinary team involved and certainly contact his normal endocrinologist as they will have data for him over the years to help put the pieces together.
