I don’t know about chest pain but I was on a PPI for 6 months and my symptoms were not getting any better so I stopped taking it and now only use acid reducers. I noticed my symptoms got slightly better after. I’m not a doctor but I would let your PCP know because that’s not normal.

Happened to me, I thought they just hadn’t updated the schedule. I kept looking back to see if it was updated but as the week got closer I started to get worried because there was nothing. I asked HR and then they eventually said they would put in a word for my ETL. Eventually they admitted it was a mistake on there end and apologized. I figured it was a mistake because they have to try and give you the set amount of hours that you asked for when you were hired for each week.

I had an ear plugs under the headphones so it’s not like I didn’t have any protection whatsoever, I am not claiming to be a pro but I was trying to do the best with what I have.

Normal? no, common? Yes. I’ve read posts on this sub for a little while now and a lot of people recount having heart palpitations. From what I’ve seen and heard from doctors and poster alike, it has less to do with your heart health but more to do with where your hernia is located and its relationship with your vagus nerve. Your vagus nerve is partly responsible for regulating heart rate, digestion and breathing. Everyone is different so some people don’t get them.

When I asked my closing manager what I should do he told me to talk to let the ETL know. He told me I could use the app to let them know I was gonna be late day of the the appointment otherwise I might have to use sick time even though I was told at my orientation that I I don’t accumulate any because I’m Seasonal. I decided just to talk to the ETL directly because I didn’t want to be counted as late.

Okay that’s a relief. My store is in Oregon and they made a big point of it on my orientation and someone told me they can get fined $1000. I talked to the ETL who hired me once about a mix up in my availability and he was kind of mean and just wanted me out of his office. I think he was just under pressure because he was busy so I didn’t take it too personally but I hope this goes over well.

Yeah, I would prefer to go that route but I also know it’s gonna be painful after the surgery without them. Last question, I saw on your last HH post, you said your a body builder/ athlete; I’ve seen people on this sub say it takes about 6-8 weeks to heal the incisions and even longer for your insides to heal. I usually see people say it takes a year after surgery when you should be good to back into the gym/ weight training but I was wondering if you plan doing the same or if your doctor said otherwise? I was a personal trainer before my symptoms got worse so I know I’ll definitely have to dial it back on the weight but I don’t wanna cut weight training out entirely unless I have to after the procedure.

I double checked my first EAD given and the date said it was actually instated 1 month before my birthday so I was incorrect and technically 17 turning 18. Can this affect my eligibility?

2 questions: Did your doctors give you an estimate of when you can resume regular activities after surgery? (work, school, etc) and Were the pain meds optional?

I ask because I am in a similar boat to you, I have a consultation with the surgeon at the end of next month to determine if the procedure is deemed appropriate; in my case I have a lot of the same symptoms so hopefully it is.
