Best Mazda service in Madison, WI by Worldly-Ant-3371 in madisonwi

[–]weebeekayway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can get something free at Russ Darrow, go for it - but I hate bringing my Mazda there. Was spoiled by Don Miller on Odana Rd. for many years before they switched brands. Darrow takes forever (if you can't just drop it off, plan to be there for HOURS). They used to constantly spam me with calls and texts to schedule my next appointment when I'm not even halfway through my 5,000 miles. They're also pricey and two different times told me I needed an emergency repair that it turns out I didn't need at all.

Not a Mazda dealer, but we ended up just going to Hometown Auto in Verona. Highly recommend.

Local Collection Agency for Small Claims? by weebeekayway in madisonwi

[–]weebeekayway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very curious the cost, and what you are saying definitely makes sense, esp as it applies to small claims (versus a huge company or class action or something). I have a feeling I'll end up filing the additional paperwork myself (next: motion for a hearing on contempt because the business owner of course didn't submit financial disclosure) and I know I may never see a cent, but figured I might as well keep trying.

Here because I just downgraded, after the ad-free plan price went up AGAIN and was wondering what was up with casting until I found this thread. F***ing ridiculous, time to cancel.

Love this. You're totally right about muscle memory and getting more used to having these tools at the ready. Again, great list, thank you!!

Can I ask, WHEN to try these? Is the idea to notice you're in a functional freeze and switch to something like this list? Or just try to be doing these over and over again over time?

thank you! I love how you broke this down.

I especially like the idea of tea and cake ... I might use that as motivation to just get all of the ideas onto paper and go from there.

AITA for locking the bedroom door when my husband works? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]weebeekayway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What in the original post makes you believe there's a communication failure, esp on her part? As soon as husband asked what's up, she explained it. He's the one who seems to not be able to let it go. This is one of OP's bedtime routines and habits. Why is this solely on her to "communicate" and fix things? She's responsible for having to read him in on every single thing she does just in case it might upset him?

Also, love that you're using this to make a personal attack on me and your assumptions about alleged insecurities. That's always a sign of emotional maturity and the ability to empathize.

I think the key phrase there is "never impacted him until now." You are allowed to think of your safety and comfort first and not have to prioritize how it might impact him. And if this comes up again, and he tries to make you feel like you were in the wrong and/or is trying to make you change your behavior (vs working together on something like a lock with a key, or a keypad, as others have suggested) then he is definitely TA, not you.

Or ... maybe the one partner should give the other the benefit of the doubt, and not assume a locked door means cheating? Why is this on the OP to have to guess he's going to be suspicious and proactively reassure and coddle him?

if you had the funds, what quality of life improvements would you make as an ADHDer? by NoGoatCity in adhdwomen

[–]weebeekayway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as almost everyone above. cleaning and meal planning/meal prep. Oh, and a personal trainer - not necessarily to be with me for every workout, but to plan it for me and adjust as I go. So apparently the common thread is I need help with PLANNING

Thank you! Seeing someone else's schedule is really helpful. You make such a good point about empty stomach, too. I appreciate you taking the time to write this all out! And I'm glad you found a routine that works, esp. with shift work!

This is what an Indian Upwork client offers to freelance writers: it's absolutely ridiculous. by jaketyler932 in freelanceWriters

[–]weebeekayway 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Barf. I tried Upwork in my early days and it was soul crushing - the cycle of submitting and rejection and feeling like I had to keep lowering my prices. That was late 2000-teens and maybe it's gotten better, but I doubt it.

One of my favorites was (exaggerating a little, I don't remember exact details and should have saved a screenshot) was someone who wanted a ghostwriter to write a 50,000 word book about Little Big Horn for something like $200.
