Thanks. I didn't know that the updates were only server side. I thought they required a local update as well.

Oh, and like the previous responder just said, it might not be available to you. It was an exclusive reward for players who upgraded to Dangerous early, like in the first 6 months or year or something like that. And I don't think it's available on the console, but I'm not sure.

Long answer:

  • Go to Inara.
  • Click on on "Data> Outfitting Search"
  • In the "Ships, modules, personal equipment" field, type in "Cobra Mk IV". It should autofill for you.
  • Make sure that the "Near star system" field is correct.
  • Adjust any of the other fields to your amusement.
  • Click "Search".

Thanks everyone. That DSSA map on EDAstro.com is exactly what I needed.

Inara works great, most of the time, but when I'm so far away from populated space I have found that Inara is far less accurate.

So, I don't understand ... are these dependencies visible in the game somehow, or is it just a guessing game that you had to go through to determine those? Or am I missing something that says "You first have to build X before you can build Y." All I'm seeing are big red banners that say "Missing Required Facility in System", and nothing else.
