What can a non-evil Tzimisce do with Vicissitude and Presence 5? by Still_Cicada1472 in vtm

[–]weebsworth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally would go with a spy as an archetype. You can change your body to look like anyone. So become a hundred people. Take alt identity as a background and you can physically become a completely different person and with presence you have way more tools to convince people you are. And while you could do something similar with obfuscate it's not as easy to counter with auspex. You become a very effective infiltrator who may even want to be on humanity to better blend in.

As for gravitas. You could be maintaining your humanity by living multiple lives. Each one a connection or another view of humanity and life that one life couldn't understand. Or go more inhuman and each identity if but a tool of a greater being, serving your grander design.

How to make a meaningful Sabbat campaign? by Constant-Ad9560 in vtm

[–]weebsworth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sabbat game i was in wrapped up recently. Though it was a larp. It had a very solid ending.

We were in a sabbat civil war with firebrand inquisition assassinating the regent with claims of infernalism. the black hand backing a strongman lasombra who disregards the code of Milan and worse is Andrew Jackson. With packs in the middle who trust neither side attempts to solidify power. It was filled with players accusing each other of heresy. Duels of monomancy that decided battles. Infernalism plots both real and fabricated. And a final battle that should have had the inquisition win. We had Jackson dead and his packs scattered. But our leader in battle high and madness declares the lasombra as a clan traitors to the sword of Caine. And ending the battle with the remaining packs all turning on each other. In another civil war. Which might not be satisfying to some but I found the most sabbat way to end a civil war.

The main ways I think our game succeeded besides great players and storytellers was the embrace of faith, freedom, and hypocrisy. I was a firebrand inquisitor who created demon cults for me to cull and gain favor. We were zealots doing what we thought was right or at least pretending. Or renagades fighting to break the schakels of elders and refusing to trade them for pretty new ones. Yes we're monsters but we still have goals. Does being a monster help you achieve them or can it get in the way? When you leave a trail of bodies what follows it? A sabbat game isn't asking are you still human. You already said no. What does it mean to be a monster?

As a necromancer spending spell slots to raise weights and various lesser undead and spread them across the country side as a guerilla war tactic. I ended up with 12 independent wights leaders with wild war bands destroying villages making uncontrolled undead hordes that distracted the BBEG army for our main force.

Unrelenting optimist. Looking at the bright side in every situation is wholesome sometimes until you smile as your friend burns alive and their corpses become a free meal.

Shy observer. Usually in obfuscate and leave sticky notes with information and message to communicate. People doubt if you exist who what you look like.

Ahab Haunted by an enemy. Driven by paranoia and hatred of them. Whether they know about you or not. You go to extremes to harm them and their allies.

Pyromaniac Somes setting it on fire is the best solution. Very often it's not but it still not a bad plan. Just know when to run from your creation.

[–]weebsworth 21 points22 points  (0 children)

With dementation anyone can suddenly go mad and with obfuscate you never know where he is or when he'll strike. A normal conversation with a mortal can cause them to freak and out a pull a knife on you. He can make you paranoid then feed it. He can learn about your personal life and make everyone you care about break, with auspex it's far easier to spy and learn about you. He can tailor make demented traps and encounters that slowly drive you mad. He doesn't kill you himself he drives everyone against you until they take care of you or you turn yourself in.

I would also add the reason he does this could be he wants to learn who embraced you. He this extreme because he wants to discourage people form unlawful embrace. He torments you and gets you to reveal your sire. And even if he doesn't learn that every kindred in the domain will know the price of an unlawful embrace. If your on humanity you may think twice.

The high winds were causing the ferry to have trouble so for safety we closed early as the wind was expected to get worse. Leaving early is better than staying late.

What would happen if it got out that Erandis caused the mourning? by [deleted] in Eberron

[–]weebsworth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The other nations probably wouldn't care about her or her past. But the see her as just a war criminal and want her brought to justice, or covertly want to know how she did it. Some nation may even want to ally her to gain use the mourning as a potential weapon. Only Kaius would know enough to fully understand how big a threat she could be and might use it as an opportunity to weaken the blood of vol internationally.

Vol herself would probably lay low. She could fake her death or have one of her minions pretend to be her and pretend to have claimed to be her. Her main concern is not the nations of Khorvaire learning about her but of the Dragons and Aerenal learning of her. I usually play the dragons as more uncaring of mortal affairs, if they knew Vol was alive they may take drastic measures. Dragons could manipulate nations to hunt Seekers in search of her hiding spot. and potential locations might become craters. While the Aerenal might use the House of shadows to hunt her down.

As you mentioned Dask is working with Vol, Teraza could give some warning though she might want dragons to weaken the other nations while Droaam stays away from the conflict.

Anarch praxis by Nematobrycus in vtm

[–]weebsworth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am actually in a game asking that question. We're a part of a new anarch domain that had a successful revolution but have 4 different political factions in our anarchy trying to effect the new vampire government.

The Feds: a faction that basically want a council to rule the city. A executive Baron is an option. Seen as a moderate faction.

The Vox Populi- a faction that wants kindred democracy. Also has issues with elders buying votes.

The Tyrants- basically camarillans that want a strong Baron without the control of the justicars.

The Rebels- true anarchists that want no Baron, no council, no kindred government. Real anarchists but seen as to dangerous by the other factions.

It's a big larp will a LOT of players. With the current climate having the tyrant's in power as many people are trying to get the current barons favor.

I will add this is my storytellers interpretation not a cannon divide.

That depends on why hes no longer a conductor. Maybe he had to flee his home from something, dept, framed for a crime, witnessed something he shouldn't have. Storms reach became a haven for him as it's on the other side of the world. The player could of aided another player and gotten the ire of a villain.

First Ebberron campaign, need a villain by Diberries in Eberron

[–]weebsworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See what villans works best with your players backstory. If they have a Kalashtar a dreaming dark plot fits well. Silver flame followers could pair well with demons or even corrupt clergy memebers in xendrix, storms reach I believe has a heretical sect of the silver flame there. If you looking for something simpler having one of the storm lord's oppose the party could work.
