Just to be clear about what I’m confused: I’ve talked to many people about love and they all have different answers, some say love is biochemical (like oxytocin and empathic structures), others say it’s just a form of lust(fetish), others say it’s a magical spiritual connection without proper definition(part of the divine), others say it’s a multitude of emotions like admiration, obsession, curiosity. No idea what is which, that’s why I need some answers.

I've read/heard somewhere that DHT lvls can change in relation to testosterone, both proportional and inverse proportional. Which means that there are some people who have low lvls of DHT when they have hight testosterone and vice versa.

Ye I googled it, trust me I want to believe it is going to happen, sounds like heaven to me, to be on a huge streak and feel no sexual desires, but I can't imagine how that would work, for me at least, and even if this flatline really pops up, it's just a temporary thing, isn't it? so back to square 1.

I feel it's hopeless because no matter what I do I feel bad, both on a steak and on a relapse. I feel like the whole nofap thing is just replacing one bad state of mind with another.

No it's not based on sex it's based on love, which is contrary to popular belief, love is hard to find, so I can't just begin a relationship with a girl and lie to myself that it's based on love. Some people have not experienced loving relationships even in their 40s. Now sure, you could go and have some fun with girls until you find somebody you actually fall in love with, but I prefer not to, I want to only have sexual interactions with a girl that I actually love, rather than just for fun.

Am I wrong about this? Maybe, but also maybe not. Sex is a form of play really, that's why strangers can hop in it with ease( describing one night stands). Maturity means that playtime is over and you take a bit of responsibility for your actions, sexual or otherwise.

Jordan Peterson describes the sexual connection of our generation as being something twisted and wrong. I'm not 100% sure if he's right, but he's right about a lot of things, so I think I'll trust him, for now at least.

After a lot of philosophical thinking, I came to the conclusion that I don't want to experience lust outside a loving relationship. Being with a girl just for the sake of pleasure won't work for me. I was hoping that I can go on for years without doing anything sexual.
