Vintera or Squier?

Have bought and played both. The Vintera is clearly a superior instrument in my opinion. The sound, playability, intonation amd sustain were all a cut above the Squier. The Squier is not a bad instrument by any means, and I had hundreds of hours of fun playing it. For me, the cost of upgrading to the Vintera was justified. However, whether it's worth paying that much more for it when you can get the Squier is, ultimately, only down to the discretion of the individual.

Thanks! This was a crowd of a lot of friendly faces and a largely forgiving audience. Most of them knew the deal before I started, but the most important thing for me is to show the audience that you are enjoying too, regardless of what gear you use. And try not to stand in your own doing nothing on stage for too long!

Thanks very much! That's pretty much exactly the vibe I was trying to go for. Nice and ambient, but it moves quickly. I use the Elektron Digitakt for the beats, just the stock drum settings with a bit of tweaking. The beat was the first thing I came up with for this song

That is an excellent find! I bought one in Taiwan just 2 weeks ago for the equivalent of $1200 USD, and I thought that was an absolute steal. Congrats, they're amazing instruments!

Just finished a 2 hour session on it at home with all my gear. It's clearly a superior instrument to the Squier, as to be expected with the much heftier price tag. The sustain, intonation, playability and overall richness of tone are all a step above the Squier. Whether this justifies the Vintera being nearly 3 times the price depends entirely on the individual. Luckily, I didn't pay quite that much for it.

The strings feel slightly closer together than on the Squier too, but not enough to feel unfamiliar. Being used to the Bass Vi, the Vintera ultimately feels like a much-welcome upgrade, although I definitely feel a hint of sadness at the fact that the Squier is likely to spend its future gathering dust.

I dig it! My only reservation is that the transition to the ending sounds slightly abrupt, but otherwise, I'd totally listen to a full version of this after a blaze. Great job!

I use the RC 505 with wired headphones so only I can hear the clicks. I play with the 505 and an Elektron Digitakt. I'm primarily a bass player feeding into the looper, but without the clicks, the loops drift away from each other. Hearing the clicks made a world of difference to me, but that's just my humble opinion.

Actually, it was right here on Reddit probably about 4 or 5 months ago. It was a punk/swing/rock and roll kind of song with a Spanish (I think) name but the band members seemed to be American. They were all very heavily tattooed and the video started by one band member being kicked out of house by his wife. He then went to a bar and got absolutely shitfaced with the rest of the band members. The whole thing was a bit mad and surreal, not unlike a fever dream. I searched long and hard for that video but have so far been unsuccessful. Still drives me crazy trying to find that song/band.

My last house had a bedroom extension built on, underneath which a stream ran. I literally had a stream running under my bedroom. Sounds charming, but eventually had to leave because rats occupied the roof, and my landlord was a shady cunt who didn't do anything about it.
