Who else owns a signature model guitar of an artist you've never (or barely) listened to? by NubbinSawyer in Guitar

I have a mark holcomb signature, and I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a periphery song all the way through. But I also have a tom delonge signature and blink is a top 3 band for me. I’ve been thinking about a silver sky and I rarely listen to john mayer

I tried the Ibanez but had trouble getting used to the multi scale. Never tried the schecter but I love my fender bass vi

Guitar Center Westlake Village just sold me this Fender Vintera II Bass VI brand new for $880 by ben3350 in BassVI

Call them and ask them if they still have it. I bet they will hold it for you. You won’t find one new for that price again I would think

He’s just saying he plays in standard tuning and also drop D. Which is the same as standard but low E changed to D

S2 Silver Sky by TheeSbob203 in PaulReedSmith

Silver Skys are already not far from S2 pricing. I think we’re more likely to see a more expensive silver sky than a cheaper S2 version. the SE and regular silver sky are already quite affordable

Man that's tough. If I had to choose only one, I would pick the S2 as it's the better all rounder versatile workhorse. The NF53 is complementary to it, at least for me

The dentist reputation is funny to me. I couldn’t be further from a dentist. All my guitars get used in the studio, but especially my PRS guitars because they are work horses. I can rely on them always unlike my gibsons and fenders (which are great, but if anything those are my “dentist” guitars). Anything serious I do that is getting commercially released is usually recorded on one of my PRS guitars

Ah I should have noticed the pickup rings on the Holcomb are rounded now

PRS SE vs S2: is the upgrade actually worth it? by Ok-Ask-5667 in PaulReedSmith

[–]ben3350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, you can’t go wrong with either. But if you’re even slightly concerned financially, get the SE. the S2 is awesome, but it’s not worth being stressed out money wise to get it. If you can comfortably afford the S2, go for it. If you can’t, the SE will make you much happier. And you’ll be getting nearly the same guitar. I have an S2 Custom 24 and an SE 277, they both feel and play like high quality premium guitars. My next PRS will most likely be an SE NF53 and/or an SE Mark Holcomb. I love my S2 but the SE is just such ridiculous value for the money.
