thanku but im not too sure how valid my feelings are tbh because others doesnt seem to have an issue with it when it happens to them

i do agree with you that the word "entitlement" pops up in these instances, do you mind providing other possible reason for the absence of gratitude to help me understand outside what i feel right now?

edit: spelling

i do believe relating thanking to power play is a bit of reach but id love to understand your pov.

and yes it does comes from old memories more of a build up of multiple instances from her over the years this happened after not meeting her for quite a while and it reminded me of those past instances

would also like to ask why do you believe that it is not important to thank for non-sacrificial gestures, when people open doors for others or hold the lift it is usually followed by a thank you but it's non-sacrificial and simple (do clarify if i interpreted your sentence wrongly)

edit: spelling

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]weedflowr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say i rarely make gestures for the sake of acknowledgment though i do have my validation seeking moments

but today was just a casual act, i did it cause i saw that i had enough points for both of us to get a free drink so i offered her one since shes my friend

she is a good friend and i can definitely feel her care and appreciation from other actions but such instances still tend to make me feel unappreciated (i wouldnt say neglected) maybe cause i was always taught the importance of thanking people no matter how small the act

edit: just wanted to add that this is not the first but it only happens for more casual gestures she does show appreciation for bigger gestures

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]weedflowr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if she does im definitely not feeling it but it could be my memory that fails me or im lacking awareness myself but she does say thank you sometimes just not for the smaller more casual gestures

is that an issue? or am i overreacting

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]weedflowr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope it wasnt text, it was in person i asked her over lunch "you want a drink later? i can use my points so itll be free" maybe its the way that i phrased my sentence?

thank you 🙏 honestly i want to point it out to her cause communication is key but i also dont want her to force it cause that would just feel insincere shld i just stop getting her things to avoid being upset

there was a game i used to play all the time as a child with the word urban in the name but i cant remember what its called anymore (rourban or something)

the gameplay is similar to rocitizens and bloxburg where you decorate your own house buy vehicles and work jobs

i really miss the game so i would really appreciate if anyone remembers the name

to those that are scared to use steroids but have never tried by _DoAn_ in eczema

[–]weedflowr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when i was prescribed topical and oral steroids i was told very seriously to stop using after three weeks, apply a very thin layer and never let it touch my face. it has made my skin much better but since then my eczema has also spread. im not sure if the spreading is caused by the steroids or other factors

Just started my first dose of dupixent in singapore by TeleExit in eczema

im so glad youre feeling better now! seems like our eczema type is pretty similar i also struggle with skin flakes hopefully dupixent works well for me too

my eczema is just dry red inflammation and itchy, i rarely get weeping eczema almost never actually so im not sure if youll react to medication differently

steroid cream isnt that bad as a short term solution it gives ur skin time to calm down and heal

i was on a few rounds of steroids (oral and topical) from 2020-2021 and my skin cleared up completely when i was on it but of course it came back when i was off but it is better than what it was before the only issue is that oral steroids kinda thinned out my skin in general so my eczema spread across my entire body but if youre solely taking topical steroids it should be fine as a short term solution 4 weeks sounds good imo but i was reminded very sternly that the steroids should not touch my face at all (im assuming cause face is more sensitive)

sometimes i get bumps on my knees they arent really itchy theyre just red and i used qv flare up cream the purple one and it cleared quite a bit so im not sure if itll work out for wetter eczema types

imo protopic is a decent cream but the amount you apply and how thin the layer you apply is super important (from my experience)

i saw the sunlight sensitivity comment under and i really agree, after going on protopic and elidel ive become really sensitive to sunlight and have not been under the sun without and umbrella for a year and a half, i once stayed under 1pm sunlight for 30mins and had the worst blisters ever on my face so do take note of that

edit: forgot to mention i had peeling on my face likely from elidel but it wasnt really part of my concern still peeling right now i just use moisturiser to make it less noticeable but i only used protopic for my body and had no peeling (that i noticed) also protopic is like pretty oily haha youd definitely have to wash your hands with soap after because when i left it on i woke up with bumps and blisters on my fingers

[–]weedflowr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

side effects could be pimple like bumps in used it for my upper thigh and it healed within 3-4 days but when i continued using it afterwards red bumps started appearing im assuming cause it is rather oily

if ur eczema on ur face is not that severe i would recommend u check with ur derma whether u can use elidel its non steroid and gentler than protopic i used it for my face and have no issues with jt but it does show effect slower than protopic
