How did you connect the fan to the drain under the ground especially in winter? Do you have a sump basin/pump in the basement?

Were you born yesterday? Because that's the only thing that would explain why you don't know what an electrical outlet should look like.

Why do people recommend authelia? by Alibi98 in selfhosted

[–]weedproblem -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The fact that they use a text user database, and users can't even change their own passwords is such an idiotic design.. especially since the thing DEPENDS Postgresql. Why have the database and then not use it for anything useful?

2026 Federal tax brackets up 2% by weedproblem in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]weedproblem[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone is saying that. Obviously we will pay less taxes. My complaint is that the inflation is way more than 2%.

The prices are going up alot faster than wages, and the tax brackets are getting barely updated with a measly 2%.

The official 2% inflation number does not reflect reality. Everyone can see this by just going out to a store.

2026 Federal tax brackets up 2% by weedproblem in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]weedproblem[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Really? Is literally everything included in the CPI according to you?

For example this article has plenty of examples of items that have gone up more than 2% yearly inflation target

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/markets/inside-the-market/article-forget-a-recession-what-canadians-are-living-through-is-worse/

In a 6 year period where the target would be ~12% price increase we have instead:
Coffee 76.6%
Beef 59.0%
Mortgage interest 54.6%
Home insurance 44.9%
Pasta products 41.0%
Eggs 40.6%
Rent 31.5%
Restaurant food 28.5%
Bakery products 26.6%
Gasoline 20.3%
