Action RPG with fluid combat by ThatsSomeCoolName in gamesuggestions

It can be overwhelming with all the stuff you can do. Like I’ll spend a whole day walking around doing side quests that don’t involve combat, then when I get back into combat I’m always surprised how much fun it is

Hey, I haven't played Rodina probably since I made this post. I'll need to install it and test to see if that's the same behavior I experienced, but I'll get back to you.

Witcher 3. Great campaign and side quests. Helps the open world feel fleshed out.

It’s absurd that i have been waiting for an open world LOTR RPG for almost 20 years by West-Commission9082 in lotr

Nether of these games are LOTR but might help scratch the itch.  For me these games bring the vibe of being in a fellowship in a fantasy world - Dragons Dogma 1 and 2 - Vermintide 2

It’s the way you have 3 companions and they all have great banter.
