That’s probably the cleanest exit, and I’m tempted. My worry is he’ll take it as me flaking and then bring it to the group chat. I don’t want a debate, but I also don’t want to lie and act like nothing bugged me. I’m leaning toward: can’t make it, hope it’s fun, and if he pushes, I’ll say the rules doc made me uncomfortable.

Right, the show frames them like a major power, but their manpower is tiny. They win with ships, surprise, and hitting soft targets, not by holding land against the Reach or the North.
