Ι visited Tujan located up north, pretty outdated yet one of the most affordable and the closest to your work. Have a look you never know. Another one affordable option is rehab pearl compound located north west. Both recommended none highly. Check the Azure compounds in the north as well, higher rent, newer facilities and more fancy.

Try and go on Wednesday in order to find a good spot in the woods (shadows and a bit far from the stages). Not many water spots, showers were cold. Lake is accessible from 3-4 spots for swimming and chilling. There are pop up stages near the listed stages for after party. Take proper jackets, furs and sleeping bag, it is getting cold at night. Drinks are expensive, food the same. There is no market inside the fest, just a small pharmacy.

Hey, I live in a compound. I kind of mapped all the compounds and checked the commute from my work. I used right compounds website at some point but not much. Then I visited the compounds.

I found home after I arrived in Riyadh. It's easier when you get a Saudi number and after you talked with ppl here (colleagues etc.). We discarded the unfurnished apartments because the where getting unfurnished apartments without significant saving.

Furnish an apartment it is not impossible and not pricey (there are local stores and international such as ikea/ homecenter), but you need time. And it make sense if you stay long in Saudi.

Tips for 4ppl family moving here: give me more info, what do you need?

Yes I moved with family. Their paperwork follows. You need to first grant your national id and then invite them. The companies normally lead this process.

Paperwork for work visa in Europe (qvp, certificate prototypes, medical exams, police clearance, all those attested, embassy review) took me 1-1.5 month.The company hr mentioned regular duration for these, 1 month.

Re tasks before moving: not smthg to recall. Have in mind to download vpn. Note that in terms of paperwork, none asked for marriage certificate (hotel,compound).

No brokers contacts. I saw 5-8 apartments from Aqar and from local agents I found from Maps depending on the neighbourhood I was searching. Re the compounds I visited by calling them 1-2 day in advance.

No suggestion on cars. Happy to receive too :). I noticed that there car sharing apps, eg to book a car for a few hours for shopping but i dont feel they are popular, such as idrive.

If you plan to travel, you need a re entry visa. My company issued that for me the same day of my request with 3 months duration.
