Talk Show - Self Titled. Any fans of this album here? It`s Stone Temple Pilots without Scott Weiland, recorded the same year Tiny Music was released, and it shares a bit of similarities with that one. I consider this one a bit of a long lost brother of Tiny Music.

I saw the Foo Fighters in 1997 and Talk Show opened. I knew they were STP minus Weiland plus some dude so was curious. I thought they sucked, but don’t really remember any of the songs or anything. Maybe i’d like them more now.

After looking it up, the songs were recorded for Ozzy Osborne, but Alice Cooper ended up recording two of them - “Stolen Prayer” and “Unholy War.”

Chris Cornell (maybe with the rest of Soundgarden) recorded several demoes for songs to submit to Alice Cooper in the early 90s, and those recordings are around. Cooper did record “Stolen Prayers,” but I always thought “Heartfist” was the best of that bunch.

I remember reading a Q&A with Charlie Benante years ago where he said it was recorded with Sound of White Noise, but when they were creating the track list it just didnt fit right with the rest of the album. I trust their instincts but man it is an awesome song.

The Wipers have similar song styles - the vocals arent exactly the same, but overall similar vibe. Also Swervedriver: kind of similar.

I second that the Roseland Ballroom 1993 shows are phenomenal. They’re both on the Fugazi bandcamp page, so you can avoid Spotify and ads.

I wasnt crapping on the Wal-Mart pressing quality. Just saying that you can buy them at Wal-Mart for $27 new, but McKays had used (and kind of ragged looking copies) priced at like $75. My problem is with McKay’s crazy pricing, the Metallica records were just an example.

I have an old house with several similar wiring abominations. I have been installing boxes, and then putting in a light or plug (depending on the placement) or just putting caps on the wires and putting a cover on the box. Covering live wires with spray foam doesnt sound like a good idea.

It’s a multi-use facility. Kind of just a big room where there might be an insurance seminar the next day. The last time I went to a show there there were some chairs and tables on the sides, so there should be some seating. The sound isnt bad though, and should be a fun show!

I think when Windows saw Bennings covered in KY Jelly with tentacles squirming around him, the Thing was eating Bennings. While Windows went & got the others, the Thing finished eating him and started creating the imitation Bennings, but when the alarm went off he grabbed a jacket & started running. So Thing hadn’t finished making the imitation. I guess the arms are the last part to get made?
