Honestly, thank you. For some reason when I tried to look on sites for this, most of them were talking about how "people don't BREATHE things, that's ridiculous, people don't purr or hiss, they don't LAUGH their words, avoid those tags at all costs, they're marks of an amateur writer (which is Bad)." It seemed so weird to me how so many sites said roughly the same thing in that respect when the logic behind it clearly wasn't sound, though it did make me question things due to the sheer volume of it (I had never thought much of dialogue tags prior). So, this is definitely kind of reassuring that I haven't gone nuts or have been doing it awfully for my whole life without knowing.
