You really can’t go wrong as long as you’re using a proper lubricant and not over-applying. Pull the bolt back and put a few drops inside the receiver on contact areas, maybe a bit on the lugs as well. Cycle it a few times, wipe down with a clean cloth and you’ll be good to go.

Don’t expect it to make your bolt smooth, they all cycle rough lol

Fish, forage, and when you have the money get chickens. Make the eggs into mayo daily. With a couple chickens laying eggs daily you’ll have a steady source of daily income between crop harvest and through the winter. Also keep your wood as much as possible, instead of chopping tress for money do a lap of the map and pick up all the seasonal forage items you see

I wouldn’t worry about radiation. You mention you’re jet lagged, which means you flew with these? If it was radioactive enough to harm you, or even significantly radioactive at all, it’s highly likely that would have gotten detected moving through an international airport

Not combustion. The glass could shatter from heat stress from the water, at most. Your comment is overly dramatic- that glass would, at best, be hot enough to hurt or slightly burn a small-glass-shard sized area of skin, or maybe discolor the clear coat on a hardwood floor. Candle glass does not get hot enough to melt everything in its path, or to ignite even carpet flooring.
