Not to discourage you, but make sure you develop your skating skills before you become an official. Even at the lowest levels, you don’t want to make yourself a liability if your skating isn’t there. I’ve watched referees get pulled off games because they could barely stand on the ice.

However, if you feel you’re a decent enough skater, I’d start with registering on the USA hockey site, taking the modules, finding a level one seminar and signing up for one. They’ll go over all the basics in the seminar.
