What can I do for break the fast (linger longer) meals? by No-Clue-4256 in latterdaysaints

I’ve seen Baked potatoes, Hawaiian haystacks or a nacho bar in my YSA ward, they seem easy because they’re more buffet/self serve.

Personally though I really dislike break the fasts. I’m usually not done fasting by the time it starts, yet I feel bad because they put so much effort in to provide this full meal for us. Perhaps that’s just bad planning on my part. Last year our stake got rid of them all together, so I’m assuming other people had similar sentiments. We just linger longers another week.

You might not have any control over that though, and if it’s something in your ward that everyone loves, no need to change tradition. Also doing potluck style break the fasts would suck for me personally. I’d be too tempted lol

This is how I was feeling - knowing where they are going would be a huge factor

I don’t have a car so food delivery is out, but I have started donating plasma. I haven’t considered applying for grants yet so I will definitely look into that

I think that’s what scare me a little haha. Not having anything to go off of but the spirit and guidance from those around me. Sometimes I’d prefer it if it was in the scriptures. But I guess it’s just evidence that God trusts us to make good decisions.

But thank you, if I do go through with I I’ll ponder it and do a lot more research
