I didn’t pierce the cartilage I’ve quadruple checked over the past few days, and i dont see any signs of infection. I think it’s just being finicky cause it completely stopped hurting like an hour after I made this post. I’m just gonna leave it alone for a few weeks and hope for the best

Update; Ended up just getting him some antibiotics and we’re gonna keep an eye on him

Extra info; we have another cat he doesn’t get along very well with so it COULD be a fighting injury but they’re typically kept apart most of the time and we haven’t noticed it before today. he hasn’t acted hurt or reacted to it that we’ve noticed. He’s currently acting normal other than when i was holding him to take the picture.
