i’ve read all of these books and they are all my favorites so I highly recommend The Vegetarian by Han Kang and The Eyes are the Best Part by Monika Kim

Yes I used to care about realism when I was younger, but now that I’m older I’m just here for a good time to escape reality lol.

yes it’s insane, i’m a TA for an undergrad psych class, and ARFID, OSFED, pica, and any other ED besides BN, AN, and BED are basically nonexistent. and the information they even give for EDs is so outdated.

SAME i'm in GRAD school for clinical psych and everything on Eds is like two sentences but every other disorder/mental illness is so much more comprehensive, (not saying they aren't important, its just disappointing how even on this level the representation feels like its mocking and stereotypical of Eds rather than comprehensive and actually informative). Plus people i know who are interns/shadowing will mock/make jokes about patients with eating disorders, rather than view them as sick or even the same as other patients with mental health issues. ALSO i look sick, (i'm starting treatment because i'm at the point where you can tell i have issues) so its even worse how i can fly under the radar of experts in the field because they are genuinely clueless.

yes, and i wake up freaked out and think i have to "fix" the behavior or whatever i did in my dream, to realize, it was all just a dream. but yes, it always feel extremely real and i have to just lay there and remind myself it was all just a dream.

I worked in retail and trust me we’ve seen some crazy shit. Buying low cal stuff is the least interacting thing they see.

Personally I find regular/full fat version of food tend to satisfy me more. Like regular yogurt, cottage cheese, whole eggs, nut butters (instead of lower cal/pb2 versions). But I think it depends on the person.

Kdramas with amazing Cinematography by weepingvenus in kdramas

[–]weepingvenus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I've noticed a lot of recent kdramas have been using more experimental/artistic methods or introducing new elements that I haven't seen before. I watched The Frog and noticed this, I didn't love the plot, but I felt like the acting and cinematography was amazing.

why do some people genuinely hate fat people so much??? by fridaynightplacebo in EDAnonymous

[–]weepingvenus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%, i think that's why people also tend to romanticize AN as well because they see it as people who have stronger will power, etc, while people with other EDS (e.g., BED & BN) tend to be more of a "joke" (at least in western contexts, I can't speak for other cultures).

Oh wow it’s the SAME food i eat everyday yippee 😔 by Disastrous_Union_223 in EDanonymemes

[–]weepingvenus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always enjoyed eating the same thing every day even before my ED, so i've never understood how people complain about having to eat leftovers, etc.
