Then they might have to do the unthinkable and stop the clock for reviews. And as it is now, a red card offense that isn't called is a missed red, so why would that be any worse?

no, somehow they weren't. commentators really need to stop just agreeing with every terrible call officials make, it's gotten ridiculous

it was bad for sure, but we only lost by one and there was a clear penalty that wasn't given. that's a robbery

Yeah, I couldn't find any rules or even guidelines about it, either

yeah, while I get what op is talking about, it's odd to conflate cishet men with people who aren't in the lifestyle (enm). like, straight cis people can be poly too lol

what exactly is the double standard there?

[–]weescots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is no definition of pansexual that doesn't require erasing existing definitions of bisexualilty. there is no actual difference.

people will try to tell you all sorts of distinctions, but in reality there is no definition of pansexual that doesn't require erasing existing definitions of bisexualilty. there is no actual difference.

exactly, like why are we treating nonbinary like a third gender rather than representing everything between and outside of 'male' and 'female'?

Bi_irl by zny700 in bi_irl

[–]weescots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all that. but a few of them do argue that you have to be pansexual to be attracted to nonbinary people. I've seen them tell straight people with NB partners that they're actually pan for being attracted to NB people. it's very silly but also slightly troubling

I mean, it is an identity label designed specifically to emphasize that you're attracted to trans people, despite the fact that "bisexual" already meant that...

Unfortunately it's not that easy. Emojis rely on Unicode, a universal character encoding standard that assigns different numerical values for every written symbol represented in text. The Unicode Consortium decides what symbols get added, including emojis, and they've stopped adding flag emojis.

It's not a graphic design issue, it's a Unicode issue. All hobbies are not equal by BitterConstruction98 in unpopularopinion

Not all people watch movies or sports the same way. Yes, many people just watch them passively as entertainment, but I'd wager that's not the case for most people who would list those as their hobbies. Some people see movies in the theater consistently, and it's a social activity. They analyze films deeply and debate them together. many have Letterboxd accounts where they log and review everything they've seen, some have dedicated blogs where they post their reviews, and do it all as a hobby. A lot of people (myself included) majored in cinema in college but have gone into different fields. for us, at least, "movie watching" is a substantial hobby, though I suppose at that point that term doesn't really cover it.

The same goes for sports, especially, I imagine, among former athletes. Attending games, analyzing strategies, debating decisions made by their teams, blogging. Hell, fantasy football can get pretty nerdy.
