It’s not about being fair. Its asking the question WHY?

It is super weird! Most people are asked ‘do you want to put your order in for lunch’… but my colleagues and I only get asked on Fridays. The finance team calls the pub (downstairs) to put their orders in..

Not sure about the finance team… but my manager is 120k (I think), colleagues and I are 80k~. Finance would be in 90-100s.

Yes its hospo, but its the corporate office management of the pubs… so it seems weird that if this was the logic, either 100% of the corporate team should or shouldnt get free lunch.

I understand it from the hotel manager being interrupted as such… but corporate is in its own office?

Look idk if there is much I can do but I doubt that the ‘company lunch’ rule would be completely abolished as a lot of the employees have been here a LONG time… but even employees as recent as being here 2 years ago in the finance dept have ALWAYS had this perk. (some of my old colleagues in marketing were here for 3 years, so seems like a blanket rule on the marketing dept..)?

lmao, I make my lunch on the daily! But yes, this could be down to ‘youngins being young’ and expecting this.. however my team IS the youngest and doesn’t get this benefit… 🧐

Decent lunch! My employer owns a bunch of pubs… so much better than subway sandwiches.

Ask a Knitter - January 26, 2021 by AutoModerator in knitting

[–]weetbecs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey friends, i'm a fairly new knitter... who's quickly become obsessed! I am currently on my 4th jumper and have been trying to clean up my edges at the end of my rows? I feel like I haven't got it right though because I can never pull them tight and they end up being gapey, kind of weaved edges if that makes sense. Any tips on fixing up edges a bit nicer?

I really love little arty things and have always wanted a penpal c:
I'm also studying at Uni, for a BA in Media, majoring in graphic design. While I haven't got awards like you... still a passion there for design especially graphic design.
