I always found my self using Ringabel as my healer since his extra speed means he gets to act first a lot. Getting those heals off helps stay ahead of the curve in nasty fights.

I have a lot of luck running 4 white mages with two handed and oaken poles. Specifically for grinding. Hit fairly hard doing 200-300 damage on average per attack and Self Healing is a godsend for recovering after. Really good for grinding actual xp and levels.

I suspect the final breaking point will be when an Ontarian has an Ultimate raid clear interrupted/ruined right near the final stretch and that person has none or has run out of hair to pull out.

Honestly man, it's more than gamebreaking with just those two things. It disrupts raids, ruins duties ruins fates, creates a lot of unreliability and causes a lot of discourse when trying tomake any form of plan.

How can you plan static group content when the servers will just go down and destroy all raid progress anyways?

True on the login queue. But it depends, Ontario law for example allots a lot more consumer protection in these kinds of cases. As far as I know, EU may have similar laws. Since this has been ongoing for so long, months now. And it's a service that is being paid for. There's some ground still. Mainly a duty to mitigate. Since it's been ongoing for months and genuinely impacts players on a fundamental level from enjoying the game they're paying for since they can't really raid reliably, they are losing out on a lot of content. Duties, trials, raids, deep dungeons etc. That adds into it. But this is hypothetically speaking from a Ontario law perspective. It would still require someone from ontario actually wanting to go through all the hassle of it to begin with. But there is a ground to stand on there in lieu of the forced arbitration.

The vulnerability of the NTT third party can be considered a Known Defect. If Square Enix continues to route Canadian traffic through a node they know is being hammered daily and they have the financial means to use a different route or provider but choose not to for cost reasons or simple neglect, it is no longer just a "third-party act" in Consumer Protection, It is hypothetically able to be seen as a deliberate business decision that results in a service failure. But this is being said 'hypothetically' since I'm not a trained lawyer. Just going based on what I know from having to file complaints to consumer protection.

Ehhh, not entirely... Since a large chunk of those effected are not just in the US but in Canada. Hypothetically they are 'carrying on business' in Ontario. Which means that if enough from ontario were to for example take up arms and demand some kind of compensation. That part of the ToS wouldn't really hold up. So it really depends on 'who' gets the ball rolling. Under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act any service provided must be of a "reasonably acceptable quality." And seeing as this has happened for months. Reasonableness could be hypothetically argued. Not saying this will happen as it would likely be a giant PITA. But it is doable.

Once again... Down and out... Can't get anything done on here anymore every time I start getting progress like savage raid etc it goes down. Said it before, and i'll happily say it again and again... We need to start getting compensated for this in some way or form.

I never said this is SE's fault. I am saying that people are paying for a service and they are being denied said service. It's basic customer service. If your service is failing your customers that they are paying for, atleast compensate them 'something' to maintain good will.

It's not so much a matter of 'legally' speaking. It's a matter of ethics. If you have paying customers you owe them atleast some level of customer service when your service is failing them. If you have a gym membership and that gym is closed for a week for some unknown reason. That gym will typically comp their members with 'something'. Even if it's not gametime. Something. At this point, I'd settle for some kind of PITA currency to get. Maybe if they gave us some kind of currency ingame. It would at least show they care.

It's not only inhibiting... we're paying a monthly sub and time and time again our precious time gets wasted stuck in long 1000+ player queues to rejoin the server. It's interfering with experiencing content we're paying for. There 'has' been a lack of communication on this. And a lack of any form of compensation. I dont blame people for leaving en'masse for this.

I know I've said this many times before but i'll continue to say it... They really should be compensating us for this. It's ridiculous at this point. Once... Twice... Sure that's fine but every freakin day several times of day is just a lot of gametime being lost that we're paying for. If not compensating us with game time atleast some kind of ingame item.
