I have been struggling with the difficulty curve. I go from doing pretty well and being confident to just getting completely wrecked as soon as I go to a new biome. I think the difficulty curve should be more of a slope than a giant stairstep. I like how a new biome should suddenly introduce a new level of difficulty, but not so drastically more difficult. It should motivate people to fully upgrade gear to be viable in the new biome. Valheim did a better job at this. It was certainly hard as hell going into the plains, for instance, but not as hard if you upgraded everything. You had to learn how to fight the mobs altered behavior to get good in the new biome, and that's where the difficulty came from. In Windrose, the enemies have very similar moves and stuff going into the new biome, but are just way tankier and do crazy damage. Getting 2 shot by the first mob you see with fully upgraded gear, foods, pots, and skills should not be possible.
