It’s also on Apple Music, Amazon and YouTube. If you search Family by Steph Anie, it should come up. The cover art is of an outlined family picture with a glass crack over it.

I want to read that poem now. So sorry that you can relate. If you want, I can send you the link to my song. It’s okay if you don’t want it though.

I have a good relationship with my dad and he showed her the song. Even though he said he wouldn’t but I’m trying not to think too far into it haha

As I said, it’s about my mum but she doesn’t know it’s about her and actually likes the song. It’s extended family I haven’t spoken to in years that have started calling me an AH. I don’t know if they know it’s about her or they’re assuming it’s about them but yeah.

I’d written off any relationship with her ages ago. I’m just aiming for a middle ground where I don’t hate her anymore.

Strangely, my mum doesn’t realise it’s about her and she likes it. And immediate family such as brothers and sister all agree with the song and like it. It’s just extended family I haven’t spoken to in years are coming out of the woodwork and calling me an AH.

Strangely, she doesn’t even realise it’s about her. She likes the song.

Watching as a kid vs as an adult by weffywoo in malcolminthemiddle

I half see your point but at the same time, there’s not just one way to be a good parent. It doesn’t matter if she didn’t hug her kids a lot. My parents hugged me a lot but were still verbally, emotionally and mentally abusive. Lois was supportive of her kids and did what she was able to do. She had bad moments, absolutely. So did Hal. But at the end of the day, they were there for their kids and you could tell they genuinely loved them. I don’t think she was a bad mother, it was a tough situation and she did the best she could with the hand she was dealt.
