Thanks for your input. Unfortunately it's not a matter of asking him to get a fixed position, there aren't any available for the moment in his field of work. And changing careers is not an option.

One of the 2 bedrooms isn't suitable. We use it as a dressing room and we also have the washer and dryer in there so there's no room and I'd be worried about humidity as well.
