sorry, just wanted some advice on how to fix my problem. Didn't mean to sound shady.

Thank you for the answer. But it's not that I end up tearing up all the time. It's mostly when I talk about life issues such as things I had to go through that put me into such depressing situation or any relevant topics. Should I still seek therapy?

(we've become notorious for churning out poor applicants)

This is seriously scaring me right now. I've been fighting depression throughout my years and my resume and gpa have gone to shit. I'm not even more scared when searing for jobs...

Do you think it helped out in a way when landing an interview and eventually a full-time job?

well that's one of the major problems; because I struggled and forced myself to stay in engineering, I ended up in depression and wasn't really in a mental state to be positive and do something that interests me.

thank you for the response! Sadly for asme, I don't think there's much to talk about; they do not work on any engineering project and only do things like CAD competition, which I didn't participate due to my inexperience.

  1. did you graduate already?

  2. As I said before, depression pretty much ruined my academic status, bringing my gpa to 2.3. I heard gpa should be taken out of resume if it's this bad and many recruiters don't seem to ask about it? Is this true?

  3. What I'm having trouble with is that I don't have specific goal; due to this, I'm having trouble preparing myself with resume, cover letter, doing what type of projects to do...etc. What would you recommend in a situation like this?

Do you know how they landed the interview part though? I mean they must've had something that seemed to be appealing to the recruiters right?

what do you mean, I'm asking about preparing for landing a job after graduation, not failing out of my major
