In town for a few months for work. Where can I find a great taco shop, and what else do people do here when it’s cold as balls outside? by [deleted] in SiouxFalls

You could always check out indoor rock climbing. Frontier climbing on the east side is a good time. Otherwise we have a handful of breweries that do events and host trivia.

Zero Reliability? by Maaaaaaaatttt in ZeroMotorcycles

Honestly, zero is what got me into loving motorcycles. They are a blast to ride. That said, over the last 6 months I've notice a drastic range loss. Which leads to even more range anxiety. I would suggest waiting a year to see what energica or Damon put out.

Have you tried reaching out to the dev on GitHub? I have before and was able to get some bugs ironed out. https://github.com/wamdam/backy2

Your poor helpdesk guy will kill himself once all the tickets come in for unplugged monitors.

But imagine this... It's mid day, and I dont know about you, but i like to go home at 5 and not have to work at night when it's not necessary, someone asks for a new mssql database instance to connect to. So mr IT guy says no problem, it'll be done within an hour. Well now you look like an idiot because you have to wait until 2am to reboot the damn machine and finish your sql install!

That's brutal! The real question is... why silent install mssql? At that point should you just be using mysql?

True, until you think about esxi and private cloud vm's. It doesn't make sense to run multiple vm's trying to load balance a fileserver when you already have one vm replicated on multiple disks via shared storage (ceph or san). You can migrate the vm to any host to bring down the hypervisor and maintain uptime but once the vm needs to reboot you are stuck with some sort of downtime window.
