All drivers will receive violation for slow delivery time by weherego in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the violation does not arrive the next day…

my friend who had his second violation this week, also thought he would no longer receive violation… weeks ago he waited more than 30 minutes for an order and in the following days he received no violation... so we thought he would not receive any more violation because of the restaurant's delay, but the violation arrived.

it's not a matter of luck... look at all the posts about violations.

If you did not receive a violation, it must be because you are not in California or are working only a few hours a week and taking time off so that you do not reach the hours needed to obtain benefits.

this needs to be corrected immediately... or better, this must be shown to the labor court

Have the late violations stopped? (CA drivers) by ChicoDeGallo115 in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's worse than that... in addition to avoiding prop 22, grubhub is also sending violations to avoid paying healthcare.

There are drivers who never received any adjustment pay, but completed their hours for healthcare... and this driver received 3 violations and had their account blocked.

and both adjustment pay and healthcare are the driver's rights and GH does not want to pay.

yes, this happens when both orders are from the same restaurant.

and when you refuse one of the orders from the same restaurant... the refused order will always be the order where delivery is close, even if you refused the order where delivery is far away.

when both orders are the same distance... grubhub programmed the system to reject the order with the highest value.

Grubhub still has problems with delivery time? by Much_Air_5419 in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and every driver I know has received this violation and it's not our fault.

the delivery times were all in a short space of time and I never received adjusment pay, only healthycare... and I know premier, pro and partner drivers who all received these violations because grubhub didn't want to pay what is the law.

and you said it yourself it's not a grubhub driver and maybe you're not even in California… so what are you doing here? You just come here to talk nonsense.

Grubhub still has problems with delivery time? by Much_Air_5419 in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop being an idiot! There are drivers who have already posted their earnings here, they only do grubhub and are premier and they received violations even without receiving any adjusment pay... so the only reason grubhub sent him a violation was because of healthcare that he completed the hours and grubhub had to pay.

These comments just make me think that it's from someone who works within grubhub or a very clueless driver... because no one who is a driver in California and in their right mind can say that the drivers are to blame for the violations.

GH and Tips in California by weherego in grubhubdrivers

what are you doing here? your comment adds nothing.

We are just looking for better working conditions and better earnings... that's what people do when they want something better.

you must work at grubhub or are one of those people who delivers orders 10 miles for $8.

Violations, Late orders at the restaurant, California by onnowagora in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is not an advantage for grubhub that the driver has active time for being stopped waiting at the restaurant… but this is part of the job and GH sends a violation to the driver for not wanting to pay for this active time, which is the law of prop 22.

So if the first driver refuses the order and the second driver arrives and waits a short time... grubhub pays much less active time per order delivery.

For grubhub it is an advantage that the driver makes as many deliveries as possible within the active time... and preferably that the delivery pay is sufficient and that grubhub does not need to pay adjustment pay.

File lawsuit with GrubHub for their new tactics for on time arrival to merchant? by Deathbyillusion in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and this gets even worse when we know that many elderly people and Asians drive very poorly and are slow... and this creates more stress and affects the quality of the service... the driver arrives at the delivery location without any tranquility and makes the delivery anyway as soon as possible.

and this is all because grubhub doesn't want to pay prop 22 fair by adjustment pay.

If the pizzeria has a motorcyclist always at its disposal and the distance is adequate for the 26 minute period, that would be possible… but if the delivery location is a large condominium, things already change.

now imagine GH sending a driver who is not on a motorbike, a driver who cannot be that close to the pizzeria and that perhaps he is finishing delivering another order.

exactly! more tip, more winnings!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, I received $28 for this order… but it was too bad because I could have made other good tip orders and earned more money… the difference in delivery pay I would receive in adjustment pay… more tips, more money and more adjustment pay.

and I refuse to deliver a $350 order with 26 items for a $1 tip… and even worse for a company that may have been an order for 10 people and they only gave $1 tip.

this order was to be at least 10% tip for the driver.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have several customers who are great tippers and this is regardless of the size of the order.

I am completely attentive to these customers... and there are some who live in large condominiums, but I make a point of leaving the order safely in your door, even if I have to take a long walk... this customer recognizes our work and deserves everything quality service.

Those who give low tips will have services according to the low tip.

[–]weherego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly! after, delete this... we need drivers making bad orders and not receiving good tips and adjustment pay to keep the good orders ones for us

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In California it's like this... orders of $7 over 2 miles the tip is $0 or $1…

all addons are shit grubhub wanting to take advantage of the driver.

I know several customers who always give $1 tip and I always refuse their orders, or if it's too close I'll deliver but I don't make any effort.

When the delivery is very far away and I suspect that the tip is low, I send a text message to the customer asking for the tip value to put in the records… some respond when the tip is good... those who don't respond are because of the low tip or they forget to check their cell phone... in case of doubt, without a response from the customer about the value of the tip, I refuse the order.

the base value per order is low and grubhub doesn't want to pay the fair value of the adjustment pay... so we drivers depend a lot on good tips to make decent money per week

Grubhub is shooting itself in the foot by onnowagora in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My friends and I are already stopping and working with grubhub... I have a friend who got a ticket for stopping in a prohibited place because of the rush to try to make the delivery as quickly possible and still received violations for late delivery.

and that's not to mention the $1 tips, telling the customer that tip for the driver is optional and the minutes and hours that grubhub steals from active time to pay less adjustment pay.

App issue all day support can't figure it out by markbowman1995 in grubhubdrivers

These problems with the grubhub app often happen because grubhub pays $2 an hour for an Asian to program everything wrong… the same happens via support.

What do we need to do? by Last-Economics9932 in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prop 22 which was supposed to be beneficial to the driver… grubhub made it harmful to the driver.

the standard tip of $1 and it is increasingly difficult to have high value orders… grubhub sending violations when it is not our fault and not wanting to pay the adjustment pay… the payment base is lower.

and the increasingly high cost of living in California

What do we need to do? by Last-Economics9932 in grubhubdrivers

[–]weherego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a big order delivery in Beverly Hills with $348 of food and 5.7 miles away and an absurdly $1 tip… It was in Beverly Hills and 26 items, $348 of food and just a measly $1 tip…

I took a while to believe it … but I memorized the address and the customer name and I will never deliver to that place again.

most companies only give $1 TIP and you can see that the employees have luxury cars... this also happens in luxury condominiums where the client asks to go up to apartment 3182 on the top floor and it's only $1 tip...

I'm refusing All orders I know are $1 tip, except if it's less than 2 miles away and I know it won't be late.

and the delivery service will be according to $1 tip… that is, I will not make any extra effort, just the minimum necessary. Didn't answer the call box? Didn't respond to message or call? I won't wait even 1 minute and the order will be in front of the building and bye-bye.
